Jemmat, &c. against Part of River Kennet, Bill;

A Petition of Rachael Jemmatt Wife of John Jemmatt, and William Estwick, was presented to the House, and read; praying, "That they may be heard, by their Counsel, before the Bill for making the River Kennet navigable doth pass; and that Provision be made for preserving the Value of The Abbey Mills in Reading; or that the Petitioners may have Satisfaction for the same, according to the now Value thereof."

and Blagrave also.

Also, a Petition of George Blagrave Esquire was presented to the House, and read; praying, "That he may be heard, by his Counsel, before the said Bill doth pass; and that Provision be made for preserving the Value of St. Giles's Mill, Munster Mill, and Calcott Mill, standing upon the River Kennet; or rendering to him a Satisfaction for the same."

Ordered, That the said Petitions do lie on the Table till the said Bill is committed.

Lyon versus E. Aboyn et al.;

After hearing Counsel, upon the Petition and Appeal of Katherine Lyon, Widow of John Lyon of Muresk Esquire deceased, complaining of several Interlocutors of the Lords of Council and Session in Scotland, of the 26th of February 1712, the 10th of June 1712, the 26th of February 1714, aud the 24th of June 1714, made on the Behalf of the Earl of Aboyn and others; praying, "That the same may be reversed:" As also upon the Answer of the Earl of Aboyn, Mr. George Gordon, and others, put in to the said Appeal; and due Consideration of what was offered thereupon:

Judgement reversed.

It is Ordered and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the several Interlocutors complained of in the said Appeal, whereby the Appellant was refused her Expences or Costs, be, and the same are hereby, reversed: And it is hereby further Ordered, That the said Lords of Session do cause the Costs and Expences of all the Suits and Processes between the Appellant and Respondents, mentioned or referred to in the said Appeal, to be taxed and ascertained; and that the same, when so ascertained, be forthwith paid to the said Appellant.

Low Leighton Manor, Sale of, Bill:

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for Sale of Part of the Manor of Low Laiton, in the County of Essex, and other Lands there; and for laying out the Monies arising thereby in the Purchase of other Lands, in the County of Lincoln, to be settled to the same Uses as the said Part of the Manor of Low Laiton is settled."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. with it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Mr. Meller and Mr. Dormer:

To carry down the said Bill, and desire their Concurrence thereunto.

Evans's Petition to put off his Cause:

A Petition of John Evans and Mary his Wife, was presented to the House, and read; praying, "That the Hearing of their Appeal, which is appointed for Wednesday next, may be put off for a few Days; they not being ready, and One of their Counsel out of Town."

Not granted.

And thereupon a Person being called in, and examined, upon Oath, at the Bar, touching Notice given to the other Side; but it appearing that such Notice was not given as required by the Standing Order of this House; their Lordships made no Order therein.

Milner et al. Sufferers by Fire, for Relief of, Bill.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the Relief of Anne Milner, Thomas Colemore, William Hunt, William Parrott, and others, as to Customs of Goods burnt or destroyed by the late Fire in Thames Street, London."

Ordered, That the said Bill be committed to the Consideration of the Lords following; (videlicet,)
