Lords take the Oaths.
John Duke of Atholl, and Price Lord Viscount Hereford, took the Oaths, and made and subscribed the Declaration, and also took and subscribed the Oath of Abjuration, pursuant to the Statutes.
The Lord Chancellor acquainted the House, "That His Majesty had been pleased to cause Letters Patents to be issued under the Great Seal, for the further proroguing of the Parliament."
The House was adjourned during Pleasure.
The House was resumed.
Then Three of the Lords Commissioners (in their Robes) being seated on a Form placed between the Throne and the Woolsack; the Lord Chancellor in the Middle; and the Lord Privy Seal on his Right Hand; and the Lord Chamberlain on his Left; commanded the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod to let the Commons know, "The Commissioners desire them to come and hear the Commission read."
