Clotworthies and Grey.

Ordered, That the Referees, in the Cause between the Clottworthyes and Gray, shall report how far they have proceeded in that Business; and then their Lordships will give further Directions concerning that Business.

Spanish Ambassador's Attendants, a Pass.

Ordered, That Signior Antonio Gonsalves, Andre De Lyas a Blackmoor, and Fælix Holland Interpreter to the Spanish Ambassador, shall have a Pass, to go into France, with their Cloak-bags and Necessaries.

L. Purbeck's Petition for a Rent Charge, from Sir Edward Cook, which is sequestered.

The Petition of John Viscount Purbecke was read; shewing, "That he having a Rent Charge of Nine Hundred Pounds per Annum, by lawful Conveyance, assured to him by Sir Edward Cooke Knight, during the Life of the Lady Hatton his Wife, out of Lands in the Counties of Cambridge and Suffolke, now descended unto Sir Rob't Cooke Knight, his Son, payable at Michaelmas and Our Lady-Day equally, hath, ever since his Conveyance, duly received the same, until Our Lady-Day last, when there was due to him Four Hundred Fifty Pounds, which the said Sir Rob't refuseth to pay, in regard the said Lands are sequestered, whereby he hath no Means to recover the same, in regard the Grand Committee for Sequestrations, to whom he hath formerly addressed himself, have not of late sitten, is reduced to some Straitness and Necessity, the same being his only present Means of Support.

"The Petitioner prays this House to give him Relief herein, and to Order that the Committees for Sequestrations in those Counties may pay him the said Four Hundred and Fifty Pounds Arrear, and to continue Payment thereof for the future, as the same shall grow due, while the said Lands do remain sequestered."

Ordered, That this Petition be referred to the Committees for Sequestrations of the Counties where the Lands lie; and that they be required to take Care that the Annuity be paid accordingly, as is desired in the Petition.

E. of Pembroke, Leave to be absent.

Ordered, That the Earl of Pembrooke hath Leave to be absent from this House, and go into the Country, for his Health.

Sutton Marsh.

Ordered, That the Deputy Lieutenants of the County of Lyncolne shall take Care, in the Absence of the Sheriff, that the Ordinance for the (fn. 1) quieting the Possession of Sutton Marsh be obeyed, according to the Intent of the said Ordinance.
