Farmer and E. of Newport's Business.

Upon reading the Petition of John Farmer, and also the Report of the Earl of Newporte:

And it is Ordered, To be referred to Mr. Justice Pheasant and Mr. Justice Godbolt, to take them both into Consideration, and report the Business to this House: In the mean Time, the Proceedings concerning this Business to be stayed.

Dr. Towers's coming up dispensed with, if he permits the Minister of Castor to enjoy the Living.

Ordered, That John Parvois shall be permitted to go down to Doctor Towers, to attend upon him, in regard he is his Servant. And, upon Certificate to this House, from the Minister of Castor, "That Doctor Towers doth permit him to enjoy his Parsonage, with all the Tithes and Profits thereunto belonging," then this House will dispense with his coming up.

Parker to he instituted to Methringham.

Ordered, That Doctor Heath shall give Institution and Induction to Thomas Parker Clerk, Master of Arts, to the Vicarage of Methringham, in Com. Lyncolne; presented thereunto by the Earl of Northumb.

Answer from the H. C.

Sir Edward Leech and Mr. Page return with this Answer from the House of Commons:

That they agree to the communicating the King's Answer to the Scotch Commissioners; that they have agreed to have the Sequestration of the Earl of Portland's Estate to be taken off; and concerning the Earl of Mulgrave's Petition, they have taken it into Consideration, and will send an Answer by Messengers of their own: And they agree to the Two Ordinances concerning the slighting the Works about the City, and disposing of the Materials.

E. of Mulgrave, Leave to be absent.

Ordered, That the Earl of Mulgrave hath Leave to be absent for some Time.

Brown, Cler. Parl. & al. versus Morris, alias Poyntz, & al.

Ordered, That, upon Friday Morning next, this House will take into Consideration what Judgement to give against John Morrice, alias Poyntz, Isabell Smyth, Leonard Darby, and John Harris, upon the Complaint of John Browne Clerk of the Parliament, concerning the forging and counterfeiting of a pretended Act of Parliament.

E. of Portland's Sequestration taken off.

"It is this Day Ordered, by the Lords and Commons in Parliament assembled, That the Sequestration of the Estate Real and Personal of Jerome Earl Portland be forthwith discharged and taken off, and the Sequestration of his Estate Real and Personal is hereby clearly discharged and taken off: And the respective Committees and others, in all Counties where any of the said Estate lies, are hereby required to take Notice of this Order, and to yield Obedience thereunto accordingly."
