New Sarum Privileges.

Ordered, That the Feoffees in Trust and Contractors for the Bishops Lands make a Certificate of the Value of the Privileges of the City of New Sar. before any further Proceed be in the Sale thereof.

Sir J. Thynne and Lady Catharine.

The Petition of the Lady Katherine Thinne read; and Ordered, That she shall have Time, till the End of this Term, to put in her Answer; but in the mean Time she shall commit no Waste.

Trigg, in Error.

The Petition of Trigg, Doctor of Physic, read; and granted, according to the Petition, that Mr. Solicitor shall sign a Warrant for a Writ of Error, as is desired.

Watson to be instituted to Laysdown.

Institution and Induction to be given, by Dr. Heath, to Andrew Watson Clerk, to the Vicarage of Laysdowne, in Com. Kent, void by the Death of the last Incumbent, salvo Jure cujuscunque; he taking the National League and Covenant, and producing his Presentation under the Great Seal.

Stapleton and Lady Boynton.

This Day being appointed to hear the Cause depending in this House, between the Lady Bointon and Mrs. Stapilton, about a Decree in the Court of Wards;

The Counsel of Mrs. Stapilton alledged, "There was an Abatement of the Suit, by the Death of Sir Mathew Boynton."

Hereupon this House Ordered, That the Counsel on both Sides shall attend the Judges, to state the Business; and then the Judges, the Second Tuesday after the Term, shall deliver their Opinions to this House, whether, as this Case is, there is an Abatement of the Suit by the Death of Sir Nath. Boynton, in ordinary Course of Law.

Symonds, for refusing to deliver Windsor Lodge, &c. to the E. of Holland.

This Day Thomas Symonds was brought to the Bar, as a Delinquent, for refusing to deliver the Possession of the Lodge and Great Park at Windsor to the Earl of Holland, pretending he keeps it for the King.

The said Symonds confessed, "That there is a Patent granted by the King, about Two Years ago, made at Oxford, to Francis Young and him, for that Park and Lodge:" And he refers himself to this House.

It is Ordered, That it is referred to the Examination of these Lords following, and to report the same to this House:

Morris alias Poyntz & al. for forging an Act of Parliament.

This Day Isabell Smyth and Mary Morris, upon Oath, (fn. 1) said, "That the Act of Parliament (which is said to be forged) was delivered unto them by an Under Clerk of the House of Commons, one Mr. Hunt, to Mr. Leonard Darby, when they were present."

Samford sent for;

Ordered, That a Warrant be sent from this House, That Mr. Samford, near Ungor, in Essex, shall attend this House forthwith, upon Sight of this Order."

and Darby and Harris to attend about it.

Ordered, That a Habeas Corpus cum Causa be issued forth, to bring the Bodies of Leonard Darby and John Harris, de Die in Diem, before the Lords in Parliament.

The Cause between the Earl of Lincolne and the Earl of Northampton came this Day to a Hearing, at the Bar, by Counsel on both Sides.

Ordered, That the Cause is dismissed this House; and the Parties left to their ordinary Course in Law.

Ordinance for Money for Ireland.

An Ordinance concerning the Sum of Eighteen Thousand Five Hundred Twenty-eight Pounds, Eight Shillings, and Four Pence, be paid for the Service of Ireland. (Here enter it.)

Ordered, That a Pass [ (fn. 1) be granted], for my Lady Cornwallis and her Company, to go beyond Seas.

Ordered, That a Pass be granted to Mr. Will'm Whitchcott, with One Servant, to The Hague.

Coventry, D°.

Ordered, That a Pass be granted to Mr. Francis Coventry, his Wife, Two Children, and Four Servants, to go beyond Seas.

Ald. Fowkes and the E. I. Co.

"Whereas Two Decrees made in the Chancery, at the Suit of the Governor and Company of Merchants of London trading to The East Indies, against John Fowke now Alderman of London, the one dated the One and Twentieth Day of November in the Seventh Year, and the other on the 9th Day of June in the Eleventh Year, of the Reign of His now Majesty, being unjust, were reversed, by the Judgement of this House, on the 6th Day of this Instant May: It is this Day Ordered, &c. That the Commissioners of the Great Seal be, and are hereby, required and authorized to give Order, that the said Two several Decrees be forthwith vacated upon the Roll, and the Records thereof canceled; and that the Dockets be likewise taken off the File, and canceled, and made void, according to the said Judgement; any Thing to the contrary in any Wise notwithstanding."

Ordinance for 18,528 l. 8s. 4d. for the Service of Ireland.

"Whereas the Sum of Twenty Thousand Pounds was, by Ordinance of the 20th of April last, charged upon the Credit of the Treasury at Gouldsmiths Hall, to be re-paid out of the First Monies that shall come in upon the Loan of Two Hundred Thousand Pounds, to be borrowed of the City, for the Service of Ireland, and for the Transportation of the Forces that are designed for that Service, out of which Sum One Thousand Four Hundred Seventy-one Pounds, Eleven Shillings, and Eight Pence, was appointed to be deducted, for Provisions delivered out of the Stores of the Army for the Service of Dublin, and to be accompted Part of the said Twenty Thousand Pounds: Be it now Ordained, by the Lords and Commons assembled in Parliament, That the said Ordinance, as to the Payment of the said Twenty Thousand Pounds by the Treasurers at Gouldsmiths Hall, be revoked, annulled, and made void; and that Mr. Alderman Bunce, and the rest of the Treasurers at Weavers Hall, appointed to receive the Two Hundred Thousand Pounds to be borrowed of the City as aforesaid, do, out of the Monies received by them, forthwith pay, unto such Person as the Committee for the Affairs of Ireland at Derby House shall appoint, the Sum of Eighteen Thousand Five Hundred Twentyeight Pounds, Eight Shillings, and Four Pence, for the Uses abovementioned; the said Monies to be issued and disposed by Order of the said Committee at Derby House."

Message to the H. C. about a Letter to the Archduke Leopold.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Dr. Aylett and Mr. Sadler:

To deliver to them the Report concerning a Letter to be sent to the Archduke Leopold; and to let them know, that this House hath thought fit to refer it to the Committee of the Admiralty and Cinque Ports, to draw a Letter; and that Sir Peter Killegrew be appointed the Messenger to carry it; and to desire the Concurrence of the House of Commons therein.

Certificate to be made of the Privileges of New Sarum.

"Whereas, in a late Survey, the Privileges of the City of New Sarum were valued at Eight Pounds per Annum, whereas they worth at least Eighty Pounds; and that thereupon the Agents for the said City adventured, at the late Contract, to bid Two Hundred and Six Years Purchase, whereby the Earl of Pembrooke, being now in Possession of the said Privileges, who, with his Ancestors, hath enjoyed them this Hundred Years last past, is endeavoured to have the same bought over his Head, although his Lordship be desirous to give to the full Value, and as much as any Persons, for the best Advantage of the State: It is Ordered, by the Lords assembled in Parliament, That the Trustees and Contractors appointed for the Sale of Bishops Lands shall make Certificate of the said Privileges unto this House, before any farther Proceedings be had in this Business, that such further Direction may be given, for a new Survey, as shall be thought meet."
