3. Reading: - An Act for the Draining of certain Fens and low Grounds within the Isle of Ely and Counties adjoining, subject to Hurt by surrounding, being Three hundred thousand Acres at the least. -

And so rejected.

Throckmorton's Estate.

3. Reading : - Act for the Settling of the Manor of Rye, in the Counties of Glocester and Worcester, upon William Throckmorton Esquire, and his Heirs, according to a Feofment thereof made by Charles late Earl of Devon : - Upon the Question, passed.

Attainder - Gunpowder Plot.

Mr. Serjeant Harris, of Counsel with Mr. Digby, the Infant, cometh to the Bar, and offereth a Proviso; the same that is in the Attainder of the Lord Cobham. Much disputed: - Upon the Question, rejected.

Ditto.

3. Reading: - The Act for the Attainder of divers Offenders, &c. with Amendments and Proviso: - And, being put to Question, passed.

Mr. Kirveth spoke against the Attainder of Tresham.

Transporting Beer.

Sir John Crook and Mr. D. Hone bring a Message : - Touching a Bill for Transportation of Beer, a Conference with Twenty of the Lords: - Painted Chamber, Wednesday.

The Bill of Attainders, and Mr. Throckmorton's Bill, sent up ; but the Lords being arisen, the Bills returned.
