Coll. 24 Feb. 1539 (D1/2/16 pt. i f. 16v). Instal. 25 Feb. (CA 14 f. 4/p. 7). Preb. dissolved and Ilfracombe substituted as preb. by act of parliament, 1545, as result of exch. between Sir Thomas Wriothesley and bp. of Salisbury (L. & P. xx ii no. 850 (6)). Wriothesley subsequently released preb. to the Crown (ibid. xxi i no. 1046). Heneage res. by proxy 17 March 1546 (D1/2/16 pt. ii f. 29).
