PREBENDARY OF BEDWYN

M. Peter Vannes 1529-1543.

Coll. 4 Dec. 1529 (D1/2/15 f. 18v). Dean 1536; dispensation 6 July to hold preb. of Bedwyn in commendam (Faculty Office Reg. 1534-49 p. 61). Preb. dissolved by act of parliament 1543, as a result of transfer to earl of Hertford, and preb. of Uffculme substituted for it (Lords' Journals I 246, 248; L. & P. XIX i no. 25 p. 14). Vannes became preb. of Shipton 1544.
