Church of Sidlesham (W. Suss.); bp.'s manor 1086 (DB I 17a; for the earlier history, see AS Chs. of Selsey nos. 1, 6, 20 and notes). Perhaps not yet preb. 18 July 1287 (Chart. Chichester no. 911). First reference to preb. 1291. See Inq. Non. p. 357, which mentions a portion at Bishopstone (E. Suss.). See also VCH Suss. IV 213, 215.
