That they have delivered the Petition of the Earl of Northumb. and they have taken it into Consideration.
Steward and Di Franchi.
Ordered, That the Cause between Steward and Di Franchi shall be heard on Friday next, in the Afternoon; both Parties to have Notice hereof, and all the Judges to be then present.
Ordinance concerning Chester.
Ordered, That the Committee concerning the Ordinance for the County of Chester shall meet To-morrow Morning; and to adjourn themselves afterwards from Time to Time, as they shall see Cause.
Langham and Lymbrey.
The Counsel on both Sides were heard, to open the Petition of Alderman Langham Plaintiff, and the Answer of Captain Lymbery, &c. Defendants.
It is Ordered, That this House will proceed on in this Cause To-morrow Morning, at Nine of the Clock; and first to hear what they can say upon the Statute of 4 H. IV. on both Sides, as to this particular Case; and so to proceed in the Cause.
Ordered, That all the Lords are to have Notice to be present To-morrow Morning.
Sir H. Mildmay and Sir T. Cheek.
Ordered, That the Cause between Sir Henry Mildmay and Sir Tho. Cheeke shall be heard on both Sides the Thursday after the next Term.
Jeans to be instituted to Chedley.
Ordered, &c. That Mr. Doctor Heath, or his lawful Deputy, are hereby authorized and required, upon Sight of this Order, to give Institution and Induction unto Henry Jeanes Batchelor in Divinity, unto the Parsonage of Chedzey, in the County of Som'sett, void by the Death of Doctor Walter Rauleigh late Incumbent there, salvo Jure cujuscunque; the said Mr. Jeanes taking the National League and Covenant, and producing his Presentation thereunto under the Hand and Seal of the Right Honourable Phillip Earl of Pembrooke and Montgom'y, Patron.
Judges to view the Statutes concerning the Power of Lords Lieutenants of Ireland.
Ordered, &c. That all the Judges are to view the Statutes of the Kingdom, and those of Ireland; and inform this House, when they shall be called upon, what Power legally hath or may be granted to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland for the Time being, and touching the Imposition for Taxes upon the Subjects of that Kingdom; that so the Lords in the Parliament of England may the better proceed in their giving Instructions unto the said Lord Lieutenant in this Kind.
