Holy Cross in Wigford, Lincoln, first mentioned as preb. shortly before 11 Nov. 1227 (R.A.L. × no. 2960, cf. nos. 2961-6).

St. Andrew in Wigford, first mentioned as preb. 1254, when this preb. called St. Andrew (Val. Norwich p. 279).

St. Edward in Wigford, first mentioned (but not called preb.) c. 1200 (R.A.L. × no. 2970), but dedication suggests pre-Conquest origin.

These three churches presum. preb. before gr. of remaining Lincoln churches to precentor prob. second half of 1147 (list 3; cf. Med. Linc. p. 146).

Portion of demesne tithes in Greetwell (Lincs., manor held by Roger de Busli in 1086, D.B. I 352d, and by Hugh de Luvetot c. 1118, Lindsey Survey p. 242) conf. as preb. by pope 6 Feb. 1146 (R.A.L. I no. 252 p. 199) and 5 June 1163 (ibid. no. 255 p. 206).
