Quarrel between L. Savage, Mr. Mordant, and Mr. Howard, to be made up.

Ordered, That the Earl of Northumb. Earl of Warwicke, Earl of Manchester, Lord North, and Lord Grey, or any Two of them, have Power to call before them the Lord Savage, Mr. Mordant, and Mr. Thomas Howard, to end the Difference and Controversy between them; and to meet this Day Sevennight, at Nine of the Clock in the Morning: And in the mean Time the Lord Savage, Mr. Mordant, and Mr. Howard, shall have Notice then to attend the Lords Committees, and are commanded not to meddle one with another, as they will answer the contrary to [ (fn. 1) this House:] It is further Ordered, That the Lord Cary, Mr. Hanbury, and Mr. Smyth, shall also attend the Lords Committees at the Time aforesaid.

L. Forbes and Col. Kempson.

Upon reading the Petition of Colonel Nicholas Kempson, whereby it appears, "That the Lord Forbes hath given Misinformation to this House, of the Grounds upon which their Lordships did release the Lord Forbes, being arrested at the Suit of Colonel Kempson;" and it being made appear to this House, "That the said Lord Forbes hath assigned over his Debt owing to him from the State (which he is appointed to receive out of Goldsmythes Hall) to others, whereby the (fn. 2) said Colonel Kempson will be defeated of his Debt, and the Assignment made over to him from the Lord Forbes will be invalid:"

It is Ordered, That the Gentleman Usher attending this House shall deliver the Lord Forbes over to the Sheriff, out of whose Custody he was released by the Order of this House; and that the said Order of the Day of is hereby revoked and made void; and the Lord Forbes to remain in the same Condition he was in, as if no such Order had been made; and the Assignment made by the Lord Forbes is vacated.

Petty's Ordinance.

An Ordinance was presented to the House, for Wm. Petty, Inventor of an Instrument for (fn. 3) to double and multiply Writing, to have the Benefit of his said Invention for Fourteen Years; which, being read, was Agreed to.

L. Lambert's Ordinance.

Upon reading the Petition of the Lord Lambart:

It is Ordered, To be sent to the House of Commons, with Recommendations.

Woodbridge's Ordinance to be Minister of Newbury.

An Ordinance was presented to this House, for making Mr. Benjamin Woodbridge to be Minister of Newberry; which, being read, was Agreed to, and ordered to be sent to the House of Commons for their Concurrence.

Nicholson reestablished in the Rectory of Plumland.

Upon the Petition of Jos. Nicholson:

It is Ordered, That the Order formerly granted to Mr. Eglesfield is hereby reversed, for his Delinquency; and (fn. 4) that the Petitioner is hereby re-established in the Rectory of Plumland, in the County of Cumberland.

E. of Pembrooke, Leave to be absent.

Ordered, That the Earl of Pembrooke have Leave to be absent, for a Fortnight or Three Weeks.

Message to the H. C. with L. Lambert's Petition.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Edward Leech and Mr. Page:

To deliver to them the Lord Lambart's Petition, with Recommendations.

Adjourn.

House adjourned till 10a Tuesday Morning next.
