PREFATI Communes, coram Domino Rege in pleno Parliamenti Consistorio comparentes, presentaverunt eidem Domino Regi Thomam Ynglesyld, Prolocutorem suum, quem Dominus Rex, ut aptum et idoneum ad hujus officii executionem, benigne admisit, qui quidem Thomas, post excusationem sue insufficiencie coram Domino Rege humiliter propositam, pro eo quod ipsa sua excusatio a Sacra Regia Majestate approbata et admissa non fuit, ab eadem Majestate supplicum prece impetrabat, quatenus omnia et singula per ipsum in Parliamento predicto nomine dicte Communitatis dicenda, proferenda, et declaranda, sub tali possit protestatione dicere, proferre, et declarare; quod, si ipse aliqua sibi per prefatos de Domo Inferiori socios suos injuncta aliter quam ex eorum assensu et unanimi consensu aut in addendo vel omittendo declaraverit, ea sic declarata per predictos socios suos sibi corrigere et emendare liceret, et quod sua protestatio hujusmodi in Rotulo Parliamenti inactitaretur; cui per Reverendum Dominum Cancellarium, de Mandato dicti Domini Regis, fuerat responsum, quod idem Thomas Inglesyld tali protestatione frueretur et gauderet quali alii Prolocutores tempore nobilium Progenitorum suorum in Parliamentis uti et gaudere consueverunt.
