To meet on Tuesday next, 22d of April, at Two post meridiem, in the Committee Chamber.

Lady Purbecke's Privilege.

The Duke of Buckingham did put their Lordships in mind of the Business of the Lady Viscountess Purbecke, concerning the Privilege which she claims, as a Peer's Wife; and shewed that his Brother the Lord Viscount Purbecke hath stayed long in Town about it, which is contrary to his Health; wherefore he moved, That is might be resolved by the House, whether she the said Lady Purbecke shall be allowed her Privilege, against the Will of her Husband. This Motion was not approved of, because it depended before the Committee; wherefore the said Committee for Privileges, &c. (before whom this Claim depended) withdrew themselves into the Committee Chamber, to consider of this Business.

And afterwards the said Duke understanding (as he said) that this Business was put off by the Committee till the next Morning, his Grace did make this Protestation following, on the Behalf of his Brother, and required the same to be entered: videlicet,

Protestation for Lord Purbeck against it.

"The Lord Viscount Purbecke protesteth, That what soever hath been done in this Business against his Wife, hath been done by his Privity and Assent; and he doth absolutely disavow all Privileges which she claims as his Wife."

Making Arms serviceable.

The Earl of Warwicke reported the Bill for better Maintenance of the Ministry fit to pass, with some Amendments.

The Bill is re-committed to the former Committee.

Better Maintenance of the Ministry.

The Lords Committees on the Bill of Arms are to meet on Monday, the 21st of April, at Two post meridiem; and the Lord Weston is added to the said Committee.

Adjourn.

Dominus Custos Magni Sigilli declaravit præsens Parliamentum continuandum esse usque in diem crastinum, videlicet, diem Sabbati, 19m diem instantis Aprilis, hora nona, Dominis sic decernentibus.
