Cum nuper, pro quibusdam arduis et urgentibus Negotiis, Nos, Statum et Defensionem Regni Nostri Angliæ et Ecclesiæ Anglicanæ concernentibus, præsens hoc Parliamentum Nostrum, apud Civitatem Nostram Westm. decimo nono die Februarii, Anno Regni Nostri Angliæ, Franciæ, et Hiberniæ Vicesimo primo, et Scotiæ Quinquagesimo septimo, inchoari et teneri ordinaverimus; a quo die idem Parliamentum Nostrum tunc et ibidem tentum et continuatum fuerat usque ad et in vicesimum nonum diem Maii tunc proxime sequentem; eodem die idem Parliamentum Nostrum usque ad et in instantem secundum diem Novembris prorogatum fuerat, ibidem tunc tenendum et prosequendum: Sciatis tamen, quod, certis urgentibus Causis et Considerationibus Nos specialiter moventibus, idem Parliamentum Nostrum ulterius prorogandum duximus. De Fidelitate igitur, Prudentia, et Circumspectione, vestris plurimum confidentes, de Avisamento et Assensu Concilii Nostri, assignavimus vos Commissionarios Nostros, dantes vobis, et aliquibus tribus vel pluribus vestrum, tenore præsentium, plenam Potestatem, Facultatem, et Authoritatem, hoc instante die Martis, ad præsens Parliamentum Nostrum, Nomine Nostro, ad et in decimum sextum diem Februarii jam proxime futurum, usque prædictam Civitatem Nostram Westm. prorogandum et continuandum, ibidemque tunc tenendum et prosequendum. Et ideo vobis mandamus, quod circa præmissa diligenter intendatis, ac ea in forma prædicta effectualiter expleatis. Damus autem universis et singulis Archiepiscopis, Ducibus, Marchionibus, Comitibus, Vicecomitibus, Episcopis, Baronibus, Militibus, Civibus, et Burgensibus, ac omnibus aliis quorum interest ad dictum Parliamentum Nostrum conventuris, tenore præsentium, firmiter in Mandatis, quod vobis, in præmissis faciendis, agendis, et exequendis, pareant, obediant, et intendant, prout decet. In cujus Rei Testimonium, has Literas Nostras fieri fecimus Patentes. Teste Meipso, apud Westm. secundo die Novembris, Anno Regni Nostri Angliæ, Franciæ, et Hiberniæ, Vicesimo secundo, et Scotiæ Quinquagesimo octavo.

Dominus Custos Magni Sigilli, virtute Commissionis prædictæ, præsens Parliamentum prorogavit usque in diem Mercurii, decimum sextum diem Februarii proxime sequentem.

Whereas it appeareth, by the ingrossed Journal Book of the House of Peers in Parliament assembled, That, on Tuesday, the Second Day of November 1624, in the 22d Year of the Reign of King James, the Parliament was prorogued (by Commission) to Wednesday the Sixteenth of February following; after which there is no further Entry in the said Journal; it appeareth, by Search in the Minute Book of that Parliament, remaining in the Office, That, on the said Sixteenth of February, the said Parliament was prorogued to the Fifteenth of March following; and that on the said Fifteenth of March, the said Parliament was prorogued to the Twentieth of April next, videlicet, in 1625; before which Twentieth of April, King James died, videlicet, on the Twenty-seventh of March, in the Beginning of 1625. And so that Parliament was dissolved by his Death.
