A. Brown's Bill.

The Lord Sommers reported from the Lords Committees, to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable Ambrose Browne Esquire, and others, to make Sale of the Manor of Bayham, in the Counties of Sussex and Kent; and to settle other Lands and Tenements, in the County of Surrey, to the same Uses as the said Manor of Bayham now stands settled," was committed: "That they had considered the said Bill; that the Parties concerned had given their Consents; and that the Committee had made some Amendments to the Bill."

Which were read Twice, and agreed to.

Ordered, That the Bill, with the Amendments, be engrossed.

Royston to Wansford, Highways, Bill.

Hodie 1^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the more effectual repairing and amending the Highways leading from Royston, in the County of Hertford, to Wandsford Bridge, in the County of Huntingdon."

Hamilton's Bill:

Hodie 3^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for vesting in Frederick Hamilton Esquire certain Lands and Hereditaments, in the Kingdom of Ireland, purchased by him of the Executors of Joseph Ivie Esquire, deceased; and for other Purposes therein mentioned."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Ly. Kingston's Bill:

Hodie 3^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to enable the Right Honourable Rachel Lady Kingston, an Infant, to make a Lease of Part of her Jointure Estate, notwithstanding her Infancy."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. with the Two last Bills.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Mr. Meller and Mr. Orlebar:

To carry down the Two last mentioned Bills, and desire their Concurrence to them.

Sir A. Kennedy and Son versus Sir A. Cuming.

A Petition of Sir Andrew Kennedy, and John Vere Kennedy his Son, Conservators of the Scots Privileges in The Netherlands, was presented to the House, and read; reciting a Judgement of this House, of the 19th of April 1711, after hearing Counsel upon the Petition and Appeal of the Petitioners, whereunto Sir Alex'r Cuming was Respondent; and complaining of the Contempt of the said Judgement; and praying, "That Directions may be given, for satisfying the Petitioners for their great and extraordinary Damages sustained thereby; and that the said Judgement may be made effectual, so that the Petitioner may have the Costs paid him which the Lords of Session have decreed, in such Manner as to this House shall seem meet."

Ordered, That the said Petition be referred to the Lords following; who are appointed a Committee, to examine the Allegations thereof; and report their Opinion thereupon to the House:

Their Lordships, or any Five of them; to meet To-morrow Morning, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers; and to adjourn as they please.

Accompts relating to the Equivalent, Committee to examine.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Lords Committees aforenamed, to examine the Paper delivered into this House Yesterday, intituled, "A General Abbreviate of the Receipts and Payments made by the Commissioners of Equivalent, as also their Accompts and Vouchers relating to the same;" and report their Opinion thereupon to the House.

Eymer & al. Nat. Bill:

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Mr. Meller and Mr. Orlebar:

To carry down the said Bill; and acquaint them, that the Lords have agreed to the same, with some Amendments, whereunto they desire their Concurrence.

Petty Officers &c. of the Duke and Dutchess Privateers, of Bristol, Petition.

A Petition of the subscribing inferior Officers and Mariners lately belonging to the Private Ships of War The Duke and Dutchess, of Bristol, fitted out there in August 1708, for The South Seas, on Behalf of themselves, and all other the inferior Officers and Mariners, who belonged to the said Ships; was presented to the House, and read; complaining of a Combination of the superior Officers, and of their selling and embezzling great Part of the Prizes taken by the said Ships; and praying, "That the Petitioners may have Justice done them, in respect of their Right, according to the Tenor of Articles made between the Petitioners and the Owners of the said Ships."

Ordered, That it be referred to the Lords Committees, to whom the Petition of Sir Andrew Kennedy is referred, to consider of the State of the Navy, and to hear such Persons concerning the same, as they shall think fit, and report to the House; and that all the Lords that come to the said Committee shall have Voices.

Their Lordships, or any Seven of them, to meet on Saturday next, at Ten a Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers; and to adjourn as they please.

Douglas versus More & al.

After hearing Counsel, in Part, upon the Petition and Appeal of Grace and Rachel Douglas, whereunto James More and others are Respondents:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the further Hearing of the said Appeal be adjourned till To-morrow at Twelve a Clock.
