Ly. Kingston's Bill.

The Duke of Bolton reported from the Lords Committees, to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable the Right Honourable Rachel Lady Kingston, an Infant, to make a Lease of Part of her Jointure Estate, notwithstanding her Infancy," was committed: "That they had considered the said Bill; that the Allegations thereof were true; and that the Committee had directed him to report the Bill to the House, without any Amendment."

Ordered, That the Bill be engrossed.

Hamilton's Bill.

The Earl of Clarendon reported from the Lords Committees, to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act for vesting in Frederick Hamilton Esquire certain Lands and Hereditaments, in the Kingdom of Ireland, purchased by him of the Executors of Joseph Ivie Esquire, deceased; and for the enrolling several Deeds and Conveyances made by His Grace the Duke of Ormonde to the said Joseph Ivie, deceased, and to his said Executors, of Lands and Hereditaments within the said Kingdom, which have been neglected to be enrolled within the Times limited by former Acts of Parliament," was committed: "That they had found the Allegations thereof to be true; that the Parties concerned had given their Consents; and that the Committee had made some Amendments to the Bill."

Which were read Twice, and agreed to.

Ordered, That the Bill, with the Amendments, be engrossed.

Eymer & al. Nat. Bill.

The Earl of Yarmouth reported from the Lords Committees, to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act for naturalizing James Eymer and others," was committed: That they had made some Amendments thereunto."

Which were read Twice, and agreed to.

Bristol Poor, Bill.

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for making more effectual an Act, passed in the Seventh and Eighth Year of His late Majesty King William the Third, intituled, An Act for erecting of Hospitals and Work-houses within the City of Bristol, for the better employing and maintaining the Poor thereof."

Ordered, That the said Bill be committed to the Consideration of the Lords following:

Their Lordships, or any Five of them; to meet on Tuesday next, at Ten a Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers; and to adjourn as they please.

Commissioners for Equivalent Accompts, &c. delivered.

The House being informed, "That some of the Commissioners for disposing of the Equivalent-money in Scotland attended, in order to lay before this House their Accompts relating to the said Disposition:"

They were called in; and delivered, at the Bar, a Paper, intituled, "A General Abbreviate of the Receipts and Payments made by the Commissioners of Equivalent, and their said Accompts;" and acquainted the House, "That their Vouchers were ready, to make good the same."

And then they withdrew.

And the Title of the said Paper was read.

Tobacco Trade, Bill:

The House (according to Order) was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for encouraging the Tobacco Trade."

And, after some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.

And the Earl of Clarendon reported from the said Committee, "That they had considered the Representation of the Commissioners of Trade, to them referred; and heard some of the Commissioners of the Customs, in relation to the Tobacco Trade; and that the Committee had gone through the said Bill, and directed him to report the same to the House, without any Amendment."

Hodie 3^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for encouraging the Tobacco Trade."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. that the Lords have agreed to it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Mr. Browning and Mr. Holford:

To acquaint them, that the Lords have agreed to the said Bill, without any Amendment.

Acts to prevent Dangers from Recusants, and for settling Presentations to Benefices of Papists, Bill to render more effectual.

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for rendering more effectual an Act, made in the Third Year of the Reign of King James the First, intituled, An Act to prevent and avoid Dangers which may grow by Popish Recusants; and also of One other Act, made in the First Year of the Reign of Their late Majesties King William and Queen Mary, intituled, An Act to vest in the Two Universities the Presentations of Benefices belonging to Papists."

Ordered, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, on Saturday next.

Ordered, That a Copy of the said Bill be sent to the Judges; and that they attend this House on Saturday next; and, in the mean Time, that they do consider of such Amendments as may be proper to be laid before the said Committee; and, particularly, to prepare a Clause for the more effectual Discovery of private Trusts.

Queen's Bounty to poor Clergy, Bill.

The House (according to Order) was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the making more effectual Her Majesty's Gracious Intentions for the Augmentation of the Maintenance of the poor Clergy."

And, after some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.

And the Lord Bishop of London reported from the said Committee, "That they had made some Progress in the Bill; and had directed him to move, that they may have Leave to sit again."

Ordered, That the House be put into a Committee, to take the said Bill into further Consideration, on Monday next; and that a Copy of the said Bill be, in the mean Time, sent to the Barons of the Court of Exchequer; and that they do then attend the said Committee.

Message from H. C. with a Bill.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Sir Mathew Dudley and others:

With a Bill, intituled, "An Act for the more effectual repairing and amending the Highways leading from Royston, in the County of Hertford, to Wandsford Bridge, in the County of Huntingdon;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.
