Mortuaries in St. Asaph, &c. Bill.
The House being moved, "That it be an Instruction to the Committee, to whom the Consideration of the Bill, intituled, "An Act for taking away Mortuaries within the Diocese of St. Asaph, and giving a Recompence therefor to the Bishop of the said Diocese," is committed: "That they do receive Clauses in Ease of the Clergy of the Dioceses of St. David's and Landaff, in like Manner as is provided by the Bill for the Diocese of St. Asaph, and for making a Compensation to the Bishops of the said Dioceses in Lieu of the Mortuaries:"
And the Lord Chancellor thereupon signifying to the House, "That Her Majesty was pleased to consent to the passing such Clauses:"
Ordered, That the said Committee do receive Clauses for the Purposes abovementioned.
Russell versus Cochran.
The House being moved, "That a Day may be appointed, for hearing the Cause wherein Michael Russell is Appellant, and John Cochran Respondent:"
It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Wednesday the Twelfth Day of May next, at Eleven a Clock.
Roper versus Hewett et al.
After hearing Counsel, upon the Petition and Appeal of Edward Roper Esquire, and the Answers of Robert Hewett and others put in thereunto:
It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the further Consideration of this Cause be adjourned till To-morrow, at Twelve a Clock; and that all the Judges do then attend this House, to deliver their Opinions thereupon.
Hele's Bill.
Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the Sale of the Manor and Barton of Widdicombe, in the County of Devon, comprized in the Marriage Settlement of Walter Hele Gentleman and Philippe his Wife; and for raising and securing the Sum of Fifteen Hundred Pounds, for the Benefit of the Children of the said Walter and Philippe."
The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"
It was Resolved in the Affirmative.
A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Mr. Rogers and Mr. Holford:
To carry down the said Bill, and desire their Concurrence thereunto.
Reading and Puntfield, Highways, Bill.
Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for repairing the Highways between The Bear Inn in Reading, in the County of Berks, and a certain Place called Punt Field, in the said County."
Ordered, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, on Wednesday next, at Twelve a Clock.
