Lord North & Grey takes the Oaths.
This Day William Lord North & Grey took the Oaths, and made and subscribed the Declaration, and also took and subscribed the Oath of Abjuration, pursuant to the Statutes; his Lordship having first delivered a Certificate of his receiving the Sacrament, and his Witnesses sworn and examined to the Truth thereof.
Robertson versus Robertson:
Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of Alexander Robertson, of Strowan, Esquire; complaining of an Interlocutor, or Decree, of the Lords of Council and Session in Scotland, made on the Behalf of Margaret Robertson his Sister, the Twenty-ninth of December last, and several subsequent Interlocutors, the last whereof is of the Twenty-second of February last; and praying to be relieved against the same:
It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Margaret Robertson may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and shall and is hereby required to put in her Answer thereunto, in Writing, on or before Tuesday the Eighth Day of April next, at Eleven a Clock.
Worseley versus Sir Simeon Stuart:
After hearing Counsel, upon the Petition and Appeal of James Worseley Esquire, from a Decree and Proceedings in the Court of Exchequer, made on the Behalf of Sir Simeon Stuart Baronet; praying the Reversal of the same: As also upon the Answer of the said Sir Simeon Stuart put in thereunto; and due Consideration of what was offered thereupon:
Judgement affirmed.
It is Ordered and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition and Appeal of James Worseley shall be, and is hereby, dismissed this House; and that the Decree and Proceedings therein complained of shall be, and are hereby, affirmed.
E. of Anglesey's Bill.
The Lord Carteret reported from the Lords Committees, to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act for making the Exemplification of the Settlement made upon the Marriage of James Lord Annesley, with the Lady Eliz. Manners, under the Great Seal of Great Britain, Evidence on Hearings in Equity and Trials at Law," was committed: "That they had considered the same, and made some Amendments thereunto,"
Which were read Twice, and agreed to; and the Bill ordered to be engrossed, with the said Amendments.
Adjourn.
