E. Bradford takes the Oaths.
This Day Richard Earl of Bradford took the Oaths, and made and subscribed the Declaration, and also took and subscribed the Oath of Abjuration, pursuant to the Statutes.
Episcopal Communion, Scotland, Bill.
Then Counsel (according to Order) was called in, and heard, concerning the Bill to prevent the disturbing those of the Episcopal Communion, in Scotland, in the Exercise of their Religious Worship, and in the Use of the Liturgy of the Church of England.
And, being withdrawn;
Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to prevent the disturbing those of the Episcopal Communion, in that Part of Great Britain called Scotland, in the Exercise of their Religious Worship, and in the Use of the Liturgy of the Church of England; and for repealing the Act passed in the Parliament of Scotland, intituled, Act against irregular Baptisms and Marriages."
Ordered, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, presently.
Then the House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee thereupon.
And, after some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.
And the Earl Ferrers reported, That the Committee had gone through the said Bill, and made several Amendments thereunto; which he would be ready to report, when the House should please to receive the same.
Ordered, That the Report be received on Friday next, at Twelve a Clock.
Perrin versus Cleeves, in Error.
The Lord Chief Justice of Her Majesty's Court of Queen's Bench, in the usual Manner, brought up a Writ of Error, wherein Thomas Perrin is Plaintiff, and Thomas Cleeves Defendant.
Adjourn.
