E. of Jersey takes his Seat.

This Day William Earl of Jersey sat first in Parliament, upon the Death of his Father Edward Earl of Jersey; and took the Oaths, and made and subscribed the Declaration, and also took and subscribed the Oath of Abjuration, pursuant to the Statutes.

L. Willughby de Broke takes his Seat.

Also, George Lord Willughby de Broke sat first in Parliament, upon the Death of his Father Richard Lord Willughby de Broke; and took the Oaths, and made and subscribed the Declaration, and also took and subscribed the Oath of Abjuration, pursuant to the Statutes.

The Lord Keeper acquainted the House, "That Her Majesty had sent a Commission for the further proroguing of the Parliament."

The House was adjourned during Pleasure.

The House was resumed.

Then the Lords Commissioners, being seated on a Form placed between the Throne and the Woolsack; the Lord Keeper in the Middle; with the Lord Privy Seal on his Right Hand; and the Lord Steward on his Left; commanded the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod to go to the House of Commons, and let them know, "That the Commissioners desire they would be present, to hear the Commission read."

Who being come, with their Speaker; the Commission was read, as follows:

Then the Lord Keeper said,

Parliament prorogued.

"My Lords, and Gentlemen,

"By Virtue of Her Majesty's Commission, which you have now heard read, and to us and other Lords directed, we do, in Her Majesty's Name, and in Obedience to Her Commands, further prorogue this Parliament to Tuesday the Twenty-seventh Day of this Instant November: And this Parliament is accordingly prorogued to Tuesday the Twenty-seventh Day of this Instant November."
