Duty on Hops, Bill.

The House was (according to Order) adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee, upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for laying a Duty upon Hops."

After some Time, the House was resumed.

And the Earl of Stamford reported, "That the Committee had gone through the said Bill; and think it fit to pass, without any Amendment."

Hodie 3^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for laying a Duty upon Hops."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Writs of Mandamus and Quo Warranto, Bill:

The House was also (according to Order) adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for rendering the Proceedings upon Writs of Mandamus and Informations in the Nature of a Quo Warranto more speedy and effectual; and for the more easy trying and determining the Rights of Offices and Franchises, in Corporations and Boroughs."

And, after some Time, the House was resumed.

And the Earl of Clarendon reported, "That the Committee had gone through the said Bill; and think it fit to pass, without any Amendment."

Lindsey Level, Bill.

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for establishing an Agreement made between the Right Honourable Robert late Earl of Lindsey and the Commissioners of Sewers; and for confirming the Decrees made by the Commissioners of Sewers, concerning the draining of Lindsey Levell, in the County of Lincoln."

And, after some Time, the House was resumed.

And the Earl of Stamford reported, "That the Committee had gone through the said Bill; and had made an Amendment thereunto."

Which being read Twice, and agreed to;

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall be engrossed?"

It was Resolved in the Negative.

Ordered, That the said Bill be rejected.

Burton & al. Inhabitants of Hammersmith, versus Bp. of London and Hutchinson.

Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of Littleton Burton, John Charlwood, William Vanguein, Thomas Speer, and others, Inhabitants of Hammersmith, from an Order and Decree made in the Court of Chancery, the Seventh Day of this Instant May, on the Behalf of Henry Lord Bishop of London and Michael Hutchinson; and praying the Reversal of the said Order and Decree:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Lord Bishop of London and Michael Hutchinson may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and do put in their Answer thereunto, in Writing, on or before Wednesday next, at Eleven a Clock.

Mine Adventurers, Bill.

Whereas this Day was appointed for the Second Reading of the Bill, intituled, "An Act for Relief of the Creditors and Proprietors of the Company of Mine Adventurers, by establishing a Method for settling the Differences between the Company and their Creditors; and for uniting them, in order to an effectual working the Mines of the said Company:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Bill shall be read a Second Time on Thursday next, at Twelve a Clock; and all the Lords summoned.
