A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by the Lord William Powlet and others:
To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable the Earl of Thomond to make Leases for Three Lives, with Covenants for Renewal thereof for ever, and Grants in Fee-farm of the Lands and Hereditaments in Ireland, comprized in his Marriage Settlement;" and to acquaint this House, that they have agreed to their Lordships Amendments made to the said Bill.
Weston's Bill.
A Message was brought from the House of Commons by Mr. Lowther and others:
To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act for confirming the Sale of the Estate of John Weston Esquire, in the County of Surrey, and discharging it from the Demands of the Crown;" and to acquaint this House, that they have agreed to their Lordships Amendments made to the said Bill.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by the Lord William Pawlet and others:
To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act to explain and make more effectual a Clause relating to the Estate of Dame Rebecca Lytton deceased, in an Act of Parliament, made in the Seventh Year of Her Majesty's Reign, intituled, An Act for Payment of the Debts of Sir John Bolles Baronet, a Lunatic;" and to acquaint this House, that they have agreed to the same, without any Amendment.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Chapman and others:
To desire a Conference with this House, upon the Subject-matter of the Amendment made by their Lordships to the Bill, intituled, "An Act for repairing the Highways between Dunstable and Hockley, in the County of Bedford."
To which the House agreed.

And the Commons were called in; and told, "That the Lords do agree to a Conserence, as desired; and appoint it presently, in the Painted Chamber."

And the Earl of Orford reported, "That they had been at the Conference; and that the Commons disagreed to their Lordships Amendment made to the said Bill, and gave their Reasons for it."

It was agreed by the House, not to insist on the said Amendment.

And a Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Mr. Hiccocks and Mr. Dormer:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the Sale of the Estates late of William Hubbald, and of his Father Edward Hubbald, in the County of Surrey, for the Satisfaction of the said William Hubbald's Debt to the Crown; and to preserve the Surplus thereof, for the Purposes therein mentioned;" and to acquaint this House, that they have agreed to the same, without any Amendment.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for enabling John Williams (a Free Negroe of the Island of Jamaica), his Wife and Children (bred up in the Religion of the Church of England, and naturalized), to be Witnesses in Civil Cases; and that no Slaves may be Evidences against them; and that they, on all Occasions, in the said Island, and in other Her Majesty's Plantations, may be tried by a Jury, as other Her Majesty's Subjects are to be tried."
Ordered, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, on Friday next, at Twelve a Clock.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Lawson and others:
With a Bill, intituled, "An Act for Relief of the Creditors and Proprietors of the Company of Mine Adventurers, by establishing a Method for settling the Differences between the Company and their Creditors; and for uniting them, in order to an effectual working up the Mines of the said Company;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.
Witnesses to attend about Lindsey Level Bill.
Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Charles Bands, John Smith, and John Parker, Gentlemen, do attend this House on Monday next, at Eleven a Clock, as Witnesses, on Behalf of the Prosecutors of the Bill, concerning the draining of Lindsey Levell, in the County of Lincoln.
Hides, Parchment, &c. Duties on, Bill.
Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for laying certain Duties upon Hides and Skins, tanned, tawed, or dressed; and upon Vellum and Parchment, for the Term of Thirty-two Years, for prosecuting the War, and other Her Majesty's Occasions."

Then the House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee thereupon.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to encourage the Transportation of Naval Stores from North Britain into South Britain."

Moneypenny versus Brown.
Whereas Saturday next is appointed for hearing of the Cause wherein Katherine Monypenny Widow is Appellant, and John Broun and his Wife are Respondents;
It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Tuesday next, at Eleven a Clock.
Brideoake's Bill.
The Earl of Stamford reported from the Lords Committees, to whom was referred the Bill, intituled, "An Act for Sale of Part of the Estate of Richard Brideoake Esquire, in the County of Oxon; and charging other Part thereof with Two Annuities, for Payment and Satisfaction of several Incumbrances affecting his whole Estate; and for confirming an Agreement, made between the said Richard Brideoake and others, claiming Common in Hook-Norton Warren, and Hook-Norton Layes, in the same County: That they had considered the said Bill, and heard Counsel pursuant to the Order of this House, as also the Parties concerned therein; and had made several Amendments thereunto."
Which, being read Twice, were agreed to; and the Bill ordered to be engrossed, with the said Amendments.
Assize of Bread, Bill.
Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for explaining and amending an Act, made in the Eighth Year of Her Majesty's Reign, intituled, An Act to regulate the Price and Assize of Bread."
Attempting the Life of a Privy Counsellor, Felony, Bill:
The House was (according to Order) adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act to make an Attempt on the Life of a Privy Counsellor, in the Execution of his Office, to be Felony, without Benefit of Clergy."
And, after some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.
And the Lord Delawar reported, "That the Committee had gone through the said Bill; and think it fit to pass, without any Amendment."
Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to make an Attempt on the Life of a Privy Counsellor, in the Execution of his Office, to be Felony, without Benefit of Clergy."
The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"
It was Resolved in the Affirmative.
