Message from H. C. to return Bettesworth's Bill.
A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Worsley and others:
To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable Peter Bettesworth Esquire, and the Trustees in his Marriage Settlement, to sell certain Lands and Hereditaments, in the Counties of Southampton and Sussex, for Payment of his Debts; and to settle another Estate, of greater Yearly Value, for the better Provision for his Family;" and to acquaint this House, that they have agreed to the same, with One Amendment, whereunto they desire their Lordships Concurrence.
Then the said Amendment was read Thrice, and agreed to; and Ordered, That the Commons have Notice thereof.
Francklyn versus Dean.
The House being this Day moved, "That a Day may be appointed for hearing of the Cause wherein Joseph Francklyn is Appellant, and Sir Mathew Deane and the Countess of Barrimore Respondents:"
It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will heat the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Friday the Third Day of March next, at Eleven a Clock.

A Message from the House of Commons, by Sir Robert Davers and others:
Who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act for the explaining and making more effectual the Act of the Fourth and Fifth Years of Her Majesty's Reign, for the better enabling the Master, Wardens, and Assistants of Trinity House to rebuild the Light-house on the Edistone Rock;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.
E. of Peterborow & al. versus Sir John Germaine.
After hearing Counsel, in Part, upon the Petition and Appeal of Charles Earl of Peterborow and others; and the Answer of Sir John Germaine and his Lady put in thereunto;
It was proposed, "To put off the Cause to another Day."
Then the Question was put, "Whether this House shall be now adjourned?"
It was Resolved in the Negative.
After hearing Counsel in Part upon the Petition and Appeal of Charles Earl of Peterborow and others; as also upon the Answer of Sir John Germaine and his Wife put in thereunto:
It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will proceed further to hear Counsel thereupon on Thursday next, at Twelve a Clock; and all the Causes now appointed to be heard be removed, to come on in Course.
Lutterell versus Amory.
Upon reading the Petition of Colonel Henry Luttrell; shewing, "That Thomas Amory Esquire brought his Appeal against your Petitioner, the Fifth of December last, from a Decree of the Exchequer in Ireland; to which the Petitioner having answered; and the Petitioner also having appealed from Part of the said Decree, to which the said Amory has answered; and praying a Day for hearing both the said Appeals:"
It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Causes, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Tuesday the Seventh Day of March next, at Eleven a Clock.
Sir John Rolie's Bill.
Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to vest in and enable Trustees to sell some Part of the Estate late of Sir John Rolle Knight of the Bath, deceased, for the Payment of Debts, Legacies, and Portions; and for settling of other Lands to the same Uses."
Ordered, That the Consideration of the said last mentioned Bill be committed to the Lords following; (videlicet,)
Their Lordships, or any Five of them; to meet on Wednesday the Eigth Day of March next, at Ten a Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers, and to adjourn as they please.
Catwater Harbour, Bill.
Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for Clearing, preserving, and maintaining, the Harbour of Catwater, lying near Plimouth, in the County of Devon; and for clensing and keeping clean the Pool commonly called Sutton Pool, lying in Plimouth aforesaid."
Berrio's Bill.
Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for vesting the Estate of Thomas Berrie Esquire deceased, in Trustees, to be sold for discharging several Mortgages thereupon, and other Debts, which his Personal Estate will not extend to pay; and for laying out the Surplus-money for the Benefit of his Widow, and Heir at Law."
Ordered, That the Consideration of the said Bill be referred to the same Committee to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act to vest in and enable Trustees to sell some Part of the Estate late of Sir John Rolle Knight of the Bath, deceased, for the Payment of Debts, Legacies, and Portions, and for settling of other Lands to the same Uses," stands committed.

Matters necessary to Doctor Sacheverel's Trial, to be considered.
