PRAYERS.
Jennens' Petition referred to Judges.
Upon reading the Petition of Mary Jennens, Widow and Relict of William Jennens, late of Long Wittenham, in the County of Berks, Esquire, deceased, on Behalf of herself, and of William, John, and Elizabeth, her Children; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, for vesting the Premises in the Petition mentioned, in the County of Oxon, in Trustees, to be sold; and that, out of the Monies arising by such Sale, the Incumbrances on the said Estate might be in the First Place satisfied, and the Residue of the Monies laid out in the Purchase of Lands, to be conveyed to the like Uses as the said Premises so to be vested in Trustees were limited by the Petitioner's Marriage Settlement, or otherwise, as by the Petition is prayed:
It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Consideration of the said Petition shall be, and is hereby, referred to Mr. Baron Price and Mr. Justice Dormer; who are forthwith to summon all Parties concerned in the Bill; and, after hearing them, to report to the House the State of the Case, with their Opinion thereupon, under their Hands, and whether all Parties that may be concerned in the Consequences of the Bill have signed the Petition; and also that the Judges, having perused the Bill, do sign the same.
Hayward's Bill.
The House (pursuant to Order) was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for making effectual the Provisions intended by William Hayward, late of Quedgley, in the County of Gloucester, Esquire, deceased, for Payment of his Debts, and providing Portions for his Younger Children."
After some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.
And the Lord Mohun reported, "That the Committee of the whole House had gone through the said Bill."
Oliver & al. versus Att. General, in Error;
Upon reading the Order of the Thirteenth of December last, in relation to the Cause between Jerome Oliver and others Plaintiffs, against Her Majesty's Attorney General Defendant:
The Writ withdrawn by Consent.
The House was informed, "That the Parties in the said Writ of Error were agreed, and desired Leave to withdraw the same."
To which the House agreed.
Adjourn.
