Bp. of Chichester takes the Oaths.

This Day Thomas Lord Bishop of Chichester took the Oaths, and made and subscribed the Declaration, and also took and subscribed the Oath of Abjuration, pursuant to the Statutes.

Cary versus White & al.

Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of John Cary Esquire, from Two Orders of the Court of Chancery in Ireland, the one of the Six and Twentieth Day of November One Thousand Seven Hundred and Seven, and the other the Sixth of June One Thousand Seven Hundred and Nine, on the Behalf of John White Esquire and Katherine his Wife, and Dame Mary Jervis Widow, Administratrix to Sir Humphry Jervis Knight, deceased; and praying, "That the said Orders may be reversed, and the Petitioner relieved; and that the said John White and the other Defendants in Chancery may answer the said Appeal; and the Proceedings in Chancery stayed in the mean Time:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said John White and Katherine his Wife, and Dame Mary Jervis, may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and shall and they are hereby required to put in their Answers thereunto, in Writing, on Thursday the Twelfth Day of January next; and that, in the mean Time, all Proceedings in this Cause shall be, and they are hereby, stayed.

Naval Stores imported from Russia, prohibited East India Goods, &c. Account of, to be delivered.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Commissioners of the Customs do lay before this House an Account, in Writing, of all the Particulars directed by a Statute made in the Eleventh and Twelfth Years of King William the Third, intituled, "An Act for the more effectual employing the Poor, by encouraging the Manufactures of this Kingdom," as is required by the said Act.
