Bulkeley's Bill.

The Earl of Derby reported from the Lords Committees, the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable Thomas Bulkeley Gentleman to sell Part of the Estate comprized in his Marriage Settlement, to pay off Debts which were precedent to, and do affect, the said Settlement," as fit to pass, with some Amendments.

Which were read Twice, and agreed to; and the Bill ordered to be engrossed, with the said Amendments.

Stopford's Bill.

The Earl of Rochester reported from the Lords Committees, the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable James Stopford Esquire to sell Lands, in the County of Nottingham, for Payment of Debts and Portions," as fit to pass, with some Amendments.

Which were read Twice, and agreed to; and the Bill ordered to be engrossed, with the said Amendments.

Parochial Libraries, Bill:

The Earl of Derby reported from the Lords Committees, the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the better Preservation of Parochial Libraries, in that Part of Great Britain called England," as fit to pass, with some Amendments.

Which were read Twice, and agreed to.

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill, with the Amendments, shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Richard Holford and Mr. Pitt:

To return the said Bill, and desire their Concurrence to their Lordships Amendments made thereto.

A Message from the House of Commons, by the Lord William Powlett and others:

Who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act for the Relief of the Non-commission Officers and Soldiers of the respective Companies of the Three Regiments of Colonel Thomas Handasyde, Colonel John Livesay, and Lieutenant General Erle, and the Four Independent Companies at New York, in America;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

A Message from the House of Commons, by Mr. Conyers and others:

Who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act for rendering more effectual the Laws concerning Commissions of Sewers;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Privileges of Ambassadors, &c. Bill.

Then the House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for preserving the Privileges of Ambassadors, and other Public Ministers, of Foreign Princes and States."

After some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.

And the Earl of Winchilsea reported, "That the Committee of the whole House had made some Progress in the Bill; and desire another Time may be appointed, for the House to be in a Committee again, to proceed therein."

Ordered, That the House be put into a Committee again, to proceed further on the said Bill, on Monday next.

Who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act for the better ascertaining the Lengths and Breadths of Woollen Cloth, made in the County of Yorke;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Bill for Improvement of the Union.

Then the House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the improving the Union of the Two Kingdoms."

After some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.

And the Earl of Stamford reported, "That the Committee of the whole House had made some further Progress in the Bill; and desire another Time may be appointed, for the House to be in a Committee again, to proceed further therein."

Ordered, That the House be put into a Committee again, to proceed further on the said Bill, To-morrow, at Eleven a Clock; and that all the Lords and Judges be summoned.

Ld. Wm. Powlett's Bill.

After reading, and considering, the Report of the Lord Chief Baron of Her Majesty's Court of Exchequer and Mr. Justice Tracy, to whom was referred the Consideration of the Bill, intituled, "An Act for vesting some Part of the Estate, in the County of Lincolne, included in the Marriage Settlement of the Right Honourable William Powlett Esquire, commonly called the Lord William Powlett, in Trustees, to be sold, for the raising Money, to discharge an Incumbrance fallen on the same, by virtue of a Decree of the High Court of Chancery; and to confirm an Agreement made by the said Lord William Powlett with the Right Honourable the Countess Dowager of Bridgewater, and the Executor of the late Duke of Bolton, deceased, relating to such Incumbrance:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Bill may be read a Second Time.

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for vesting some Part of the Estate, in the County of Lincolne, included in the Marriage Settlement of the Right Honourable William Powlett Esquire, commonly called the Lord William Powlett, in Trustees, to be sold, for the raising Money, to discharge an Incumbrance fallen on the same, by virtue of a Decree of the High Court of Chancery; and to confirm an Agreement made by the said Lord William Powlett with the Right Honourable the Countess Dowager of Bridgewater, and the Executor of the late Duke of Bolton, deceased, relating to such Incumbrance."
