A Message from the House of Commons, by Mr. Farrer and others:

Who brought up the Bills following; (videlicet,)

A Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable William Collins Clerk, Thomas Parrat and William Day Gentlemen, to dispose of certain Lands, for the Payment of the Debts of John Granger, and for making a Provision for the Widow and Younger Children of Nicholas Granger his late Father, deceased;" to which they have agreed, without any Amendment.

Also a Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable the Lord High Treasurer, or Commissioners of the Treasury, for the Time being, to compound with William Malet Esquire, for the Debt of his Father, for whom he was Surety while Receiver General of the County of Somerset and City of Bristol;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Also a Bill, intituled, "An Act to empower the Lord High Treasurer of Great Britain, or Commissioners of the Treasury, to compound with the Sureties of Samuel Pacey deceased, late Receiver General for the County of Suffolke;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to explain a Clause in a Statute, made in the Twentyseventh Year of the Reign of King Henry the Eighth, enabling Tenants in Tail in Possession to make Jointures to Wives; and enlarging the same, so as Richard Lord Willughby de Broke and others, Tenants in Tail in Possession, may make Jointures to the Wives of their Eldest Sons or Grandsons."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Privileges of Ambassadors, &c. Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for preserving the Privileges of Ambassadors, and other Public Ministers of Foreign Princes and States."

Middlesex Register Bill.

The House (pursuant to Order) was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the public registering of all Deeds, Conveyances, and Wills, that shall be made of, or that may affect, any Honours, Manors, Lands, Tenements, or Hereditaments, within the County of Middl'x, after the Day of."

After some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.

And the Earl of Stamford reported, "That the Committee of the whole House had made some Progress in the Bill; and desire another Time, for the House to be in a Committee again, to proceed therein."

Ordered, That this House shall be put into a Committee again, to proceed further on the said Bill, on Tuesday next, at Twelve a Clock.

Bill for Improvement of the Union.

Then the House (pursuant to Order) was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for improving the Union of the Two Kingdoms."

After some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.

And the Earl of Stamford reported, "That the Committee of the whole House had made some further Progress in the Bill; and desire another Time may be appointed, for the House to be in a Committee again, to proceed therein."

Ordered, That the House be put into a Committee again upon the said Bill, on Monday next, at Twelve a Clock; and that all the Lords be summoned; and the Judges then to attend.

Frere versus Boteler.

Whereas this Day was appointed for hearing of the Cause wherein Susanna Frere is Appellant, and Mirable Boteler Respondent:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Wednesday next, at Eleven a Clock.
