Sir J. Grey versus D. Hamilton et al.

The House being this Day moved, "That a Day may be appointed, for hearing the Cause wherein Sir James Grey Baronet is Appellant, and his Grace the Duke of Hamilton, the Lord Silkirke, and Alexand'r Gawen, are Respondents:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Monday the Seventh Day of March next; at Eleven a Clock.

Bulkeley's Petition referred to Judges.

Upon reading the Petition of Thomas Bulkeley Gentleman, for and on Behalf of himself, Mary his Wife, and their Issue; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, for vesting that Part of the Real Estate in Derbyshire in the Petition mentioned (which is Part of Mary's Jointure, and remote from the rest of his Estate), and Part of the Real Estate in Stanley, worth about Twenty Pounds per Annum (being some of the Outskirts of his Staffordshire Estate), in Trustees, and their Heirs, to be sold, to satisfy and clear the rest of his Real Estate from the Mortgage and other Incumbrances which affect the same; and for securing other Parts of the Real Estate in Stanley and Longsdon, in the County of Stafford, worth about Forty Pounds per Annum, upon the said Mary, for her Life, in Jointure, in Lieu of the Jointure Lands in Parwich, worth about Sixty Pounds per Annum; which she consents and agrees to accept of:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Consideration of the said Petition shall be, and is hereby, referred to Mr. Justice Blencowe and Mr. Justice Tracy; who are forthwith to summon all Parties concerned in the Bill; and, after hearing them, to report to the House the State of the Case, with their Opinion thereupon, under their Hands; and whether all Parties that may be concerned in the Consequences of the Bill have signed the Petition; and also that the Judges, having perused the Bill, do sign the same.

Sherborne versus Hitch.

After hearing Counsel, to argue the Errors upon the Writ of Error depending in this House, wherein Sir Nicholas Shireburne and others are Plaintiffs, and Robert Hitch Esquire Defendant:

It was agreed, to hear all the Judges thereupon, on Wednesday next.

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That all the Judges do attend this House on Wednesday next, at Eleven a Clock.

Hervey's Bill.

Hodie 1^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the better Performance of the Will of Stephen Hervey Esquire deceased, and making Provision for his Children."

Malt, &c. Bill.

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for charging and continuing the Duties upon Malt, Mum, Cyder, and Perry, for the Service of the Year One Thousand Seven Hundred and Nine."

Ordered, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, on Wednesday next, at Eleven a Clock.

Stafford's Bill.

After reading, and considering, the Report of Mr. Justice Gould and Mr. Baron Lovell, to whom was referred the Bill, intituled, "An Act for vesting in Trustees the Reversion of several Lands and Tenements expectant on Leases for Lives, the Estate of Hugh Stafford, of Pynes, in the County of Devon Esquire, to be sold, for Payment of Debts; and, by discharging his Power of leasing, to secure other Lands, to come in Possession to his Son, in Lieu thereof:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Bill be read a Second Time, on Wednesday next.
