Message from H.C. with a Bill.

A Message from the House of Commons, by Mr. Farrer and others:

Who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act for charging and continuing the Duties upon Malt, Mum, Cyder, and Perry, for the Service of the Year One Thousand Seven Hundred and Nine;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Muirheid versus Muirheid.

Upon reading the Petition of John Muirheid; praying a further Time for his Father James Muirheid's answering to the Appeal of Rose Muirheid; the said James Muirheid being aged, and on the Road from North Britain:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said James Murheid hath hereby Time allowed him for answering to the said Appeal, until Friday the Fourth Day of March next, at Eleven a Clock.

Fowle versus Ellis.

The House being this Day moved on the Behalf of John Fowle, Respondent to the Appeal of Patrick Ellis, "That a Day may be appointed for hearing the Appeal:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Friday the Five and Twentieth Day of this Instant February, at Eleven a Clock.

Lady Falkland and Ly. Russel versus It Lytton.

After hearing Counsel, upon the Petitions and Appeals of the Lady Viscountess Falkland and Lady Russell:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will proceed to hear Counsel, for the Respondent Lytton Lytton Esquire, To-morrow, at Ten a Clock.
