This Day John Earl of Exeter took the Oaths, and made and subscribed the Declaration, and also took and subscribed the Oath of Abjuration, pursuant to the Statutes.
Bp. Chichester's Bill.
Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for explaining and making more effectual, an Act, made Anno Primo Annæ Reginæ, intituled, "An Act giving further Time to John Lord Bishop of Chichester and his Successors to make Leases of certain Houses and Ground in and near Chancery Lane, belonging to the Bishopric of Chichester."
Ordered, That the Consideration of the said Bill be committed to the Lords following; (videlicet,)
Their Lordships, or any Five of them; to meet on Tuesday the First Day of March next, at Ten a Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers; and to adjourn as they please.
D. Newcastle's Bill.
Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for vesting in John Duke of Newcastle and his Heirs certain Lands belonging to the Vicarage of Walesby, in the County of Nottingham, in Lieu of an Annual Rent of Ten Pounds, payable to the Vicar of the said Vicarage, and his Successors for ever."
Ordered, That the Consideration of the said Bill be referred to the Lords Committees above-named.

E. of Bath's Petition referred to Judges.
Upon reading the Petition of William Henry Earl of Bathe, an Infant under the Age of One and Twenty Years, by Frances Countess of Nassau de Averquerque, his Grandmother and Guardian; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, to enable the Petitioner, during his Minority, to grant Leases, according to the Power in the Petition set forth, and to vest the Fee Simple Estate in Trustees, to lease, mortgage, sell, or otherwise charge the same, for Payment of the Debts, Annuities, Funeral Charges, and Legacies of Earl John, so far as his Personal Estate shall not reach to pay:
It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Consideration of the said Petition shall be, and is hereby, referred to Mr. Justice Powys and Mr. Justice Blencowe; who are forthwith to summon all Parties concerned in the Bill; and, after hearing them, to report to the House the State of the Case, with their Opinion thereupon, under their Hands, and whether all Parties that may be concerned in the Consequences of the Bill have signed the Petition; and also that the Judges, having perused the Bill, do sign the same.

The Earl of Stamford reported from the Lords Committees, the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable Edward Sainthill (late Edward Yard) Esquire, to change his Surname of Yard to Sainthill, according to the Will of Samuel Sainthill Esquire deceased," as fit to pass, without any Amendment.

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

Haydon's Bill.
Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for vesting the Estate of Gideon Haydon Esquire deceased, lying in the County of Devon, in Trustees, to be sold, for the Payment of the Debts wherewith it stands incumbered; and settling the Overplus to the Uses in his Marriage Settlement limited and declared."
