Atherton's Petition rejected.
After reading, and considering, the Report of the Judges, to whom was referred the Petition of Elizabeth Atherton, Widow and Relict of John Atherton, late of Bewsy, in the County Palatine of Lancaster, Esquire, deceased; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, for Sale of Timber, and making Leases of certain Lands, late of the said John Atherton, to raise the Sum of Three Thousand Pounds, which by his Marriage Settlement he had Power to charge, for Payment of his Debts:
It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition shall be, and is hereby, rejected.
Adjourn.
