A Message from the House of Commons, by Mr. Conyers and others:

Who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act for continuing One Half Part of the Subsidies of Tonnage and Poundage, and other Duties upon Wines, Goods, and Merchandizes imported, which were granted to the Crown in the Twelfth Year of the Reign of King Charles the Second; and for settling a Fund thereby, and by other Ways and Means, for Payment of Annuities, not exceeding Eighty Thousand Pounds per Annum, to be sold, for raising a further Supply to Her Majesty, for the Service of the Year One Thousand Seven Hundred and Eight, and other Uses therein expressed;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

The House (pursuant to Order) was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the better securing the Trade of this Kingdom, by Cruizers and Convoys."

After some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.

And the Lord Herbert reported, "That the Committee had gone through the said Bill; and think it fit to pass, with some Amendments."

Which were read Twice, and agreed to.

Markwick versus City of London, in Error.

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the Errors argued, upon the Writ of Error depending in this House, wherein James Markwick is Plaintiff, and the Lord Mayor, Commonalty, and Citizens of the City of London are Defendants, on Tuesday the Sixteenth Day of this Instant March, at Eleven a Clock.

Discovery of the Death of Persons pretended to be alive, Bill.

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House shall be put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the more effectual Discovery of the Death of Persons pretended to be alive, to the Prejudice of those who claim Estates after their Deaths," on Friday next, at Twelve a Clock; and nothing to intervene; and Judges to attend.

East Riding York, Register Bill:

Hodie 3^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the public registering of all Deeds, Conveyances, Wills, and other Incumbrances, that shall be made of, or that may affect, any Honours, Manors, Lands, Tenements, or Hereditaments, within the East Riding of the County of York; or the Town and County of the Town of Kingston upon Hull, after the Nine and Twentieth Day of September One Thousand Seven Hundred and Eight."
