Repeal of the Act for garbling Spices, Bill:
Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for repealing of the Act of the First Year of King James the First, intituled, An Act for the well-garbling of Spices; and for granting an Equivalent to the City of London, by admitting Brokers."
Ward's Petition against it:
Upon reading the Petition of John Ward, of Hackney, Merchant; shewing, "That he is informed, that a Bill is brought into this House, intituled, "An Act for repealing of the Act of the First Year of King James the First, intituled, An Act for the wellgarbling of Spices, and for granting an Equivalent to the City of London, by admitting Brokers;" and that he, having brought Informations against some Persons in the Petition mentioned, for Offences by them committed against the said Act, which, if the said Act doth pass, will be discharged;" and praying, "That he may be heard, by his Counsel, before the passing of the said Act:"
It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioner shall be heard, by his Counsel, as desired, against the said Bill, on Thursday next, at Twelve a Clock; as also Counsel for the Bill, if they think fit.
Dyers and Expenders of garbleable Commodities. Petition against it.
Upon reading the Petition of the Dyers, the Consumers and Expenders of garbleable Commodities in and about the City of London; shewing, "That the Petitioners being informed that there is a Bill depending in this House, for repealing an Act made in the First Year of King James the First, for the well-garbling of Spices; and for granting an equivalent to the City of London, by admitting Brokers; and the Petitioners have found by Experience, that the said Statute is of great Use and Benefit for preventing Frauds and Abuses upon the Petitioners; but will fix a Discredit upon our Woollen Manufactory, to the great Detriment of this Nation; and praying to be heard, by their Counsel, before the said Bill do pass:"
It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioners shall be heard, by their Counsel, as desired, against the said Bill, on Thursday next, at Twelve a Clock, as also Counsel for the Bill, if they think fit.
Corporation of Shipwrights versus Fly Boats, Russia-built, Bill.
Upon reading the Petition of the Corporation of Shipwrights of Rotherhith, in the County of Surrey; shewing, "That there is a Bill before this House, intituled, An Act for making Two large Fly Boats (Russia-built), One called The Thomas and Henry; the other, The Richard and Jane, free Ships to trade to Russia, which Bill, if passed, will be a Hardship to the Petitioners; (fn. 1) but a Discouragement to all Builders and Owners of British Ships;" and praying, "That they may be heard, by their Counsel, against the said Bill:"
It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioners shall be heard, by their Counsel, before the said Bill do pass, according to the Prayer of their Petition.

Pennyfeather versus Shaller.
Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of Edward Pennyfeather and Robert Bridgeman against a Decretal Order, or Decree, made in this Cause, in the Court of Exchequer, the One and Twentieth Day of February One Thousand Seven Hundred and Seven, on the Behalf of Edward Shaller; and praying the Reversal of the said Decree, and that the said Edward Shaller may answer thereunto:
It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Edward Shaller may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and shall and he is hereby required to put in his Answer thereunto, in Writing, on Monday the Nine and Twentieth Day of this Instant March, at Eleven a Clock.
