Message from H. C. with a Bill.

A Message from the House of Commons, by Mr. Conyers and others:

Who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act to prevent the Mischiefs of a fraudulent Practice, in obtaining Drawbacks for Goods carried from England to Scotland, in order to be brought back again; and in carrying Goods by Englishmen or Foreigners from Foreign Parts into Scotland, in order to be brought into England without paying the English Duties; and for the better securing the Duties of Goods brought from The East Indies;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Drawbacks on Goods carried to Scotland, &c. Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to prevent the Mischiefs of a fraudulent Practice, in obtaining Drawbacks for Goods carried from England to Scotland, in order to be brought back again; and in carrying Goods by Englishmen or Foreigners from Foreign Parts into Scotland, in order to be brought into England without paying the English Duties; and for the better securing the Duties of Goods brought from The East Indies."

Ordered, That the said Bill be read a Second Time on Wednesday Morning next, at Twelve a Clock.

Ordered, That the Judges have a Copy of the said Bill, and do attend this House on Wednesday next; and that all the Lords be summoned.

Gunpowder to prevent bringing to London, &c. Bill.

After hearing the Officers of the Ordnance, and others, in relation to the Bill, intituled, "An Act to prevent the Dangers which may arise, from bringing great Quan tities of Gunpowder into London or Southwarke:"

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to prevent the Dangers which may arise, from bringing great Quantities of Gunpowder into London or Southwarke."

Ordered, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, To-morrow Morning.

The Clause offered, at the Bar, by the Officers of the Ordnance, to be added to the Bill, was read, and referred to the said Committee.
