Hodie 1^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled "An Act to empower the Lord High Treasurer of England, or Commissioners of the Treasury, for the Time being, to compound with Thomas Tomkins and John Chaigneau, and their Securities, for the Debt owing by them respectively to Her Majesty."

Risley's Bill.

The Earl of Kingston reported from the Lords Committees, the Bill, intituled, "An Act for naturalizing Paul, Frances, and Catherine Risley," as fit to pass, without any Amendment.

Hodie 3^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled "An Act for naturalizing Paul, Frances, and Katherine Risley."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Ordered, The Commons have Notice, that the Lords have agreed to the said Bill, without any Amendment.

Message to H. C. to remind them of the Bill for the Amendment of the Law, &c.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Rob't Legard and Mr. Pitt:

Seagrave versus Eustace.

Upon reading the Petition of Francis Seagrave and Mary his Wife; praying, "That the Cause appointed to be heard this Day may be put off, they having not received their Papers from Ireland till Saturday Night last, as by Affidavit annexed appears;" and after hearing Counsel for the Respondent; to prevent the putting off the said Cause:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, peremptorily, on Friday the First Day of March next, at Eleven a Clock.

Message from H. C. to return Holwerthy's Bill.

A Message from the House of Commons, by Mr. Papillon and others:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the removing all Doubts touching the saving Clause of One Act of Parliament, intituled, An Act for vesting divers Manors and Lands of Mathew Holworthy Esquire, in Trustees; to be sold; and purchasing other Manors or Lands of equal Value, and limiting the Manors or Lands to be purchased to the same Uses as the Lands to be sold are limited;" and to acquaint this House, that they have agreed to the same, without any Amendment.

Courtney's Bill.

The Lord Mohun reported from the Lords Committees, the Bill, intituled, "An Act for vesting a Mortgage of Humphry Courtney Esquire deceased, in Trustees, to be sold, to discharge the Mortgages, Debts, and Incumbrances, on the said Estate," as fit to pass, without any Amendment.

Hodie 3^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for restoring to the Archbishop of Dublin the Town and Lands of Sea Town; and re-paying to William Lord Archbishop of Dublin the Money he paid for the same, upon Purchase thereof from the Trustees for Sale of the forfeited Estates in Ireland."

Parton-Harbour Bill:

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for enlarging the Pier and Harbour of Parton, in the County of Cumberland."

Ordered, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, To-morrow, at Twelve a Clock; and that the Amendments offered by the Commissioners of the Customs (fn. 1) be considered at the said Committee.

Cumberland Inhabitants, &c. to be heard against it.

Upon reading the Petition of the Justices of the Peace, Gentlemen, Freeholders, Tradesmen, and others, inhabiting within the County of Cumberland; praying to be heard, by their Counsel, against the Bill, intituled, An Act for enlarging the Pier and Harbour of Parton, in the County of Cumberland:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioners shall be heard, by their Counsel, at the Committee to whom the said Bill stands committed.

Thames Watermen, &c. Bill.

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the better ordering and governing the Watermen and Lightermen upon the River of Thames."

After some Time, the House was resumed.

And the Earl of Stamford reported, "That the Committee had gone through the said Bill; and think it fit to pass, without any Amendment."

Gomeldon's Bill.

Hodie 1^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to enable William Gomeldon Esquire to sell a Farm in Kent, to discharge an Incumbrance upon the same; and to apply the Residue of the Monies arising by such Sale in Payment of the said William Gomeldon's Debts."

L. Colerane's Bill.

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for Sale of Part of the Estate of Henry Lord Colerane, Baron of Colerane in the Kingdom of Ireland; and supplying the Want of a Deed, concerning other Part of his Estate."

Ordered, That the Consideration of the said Bill be committed to the Lords following; (videlicet,)

Their Lordships, or any Five of them; to meet on Tuesday the Twelfth Day of March next, at Ten a Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers; and to adjourn as they please.

Goulstone's Bill.

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for vesting in Trustees the Estate of Morris Goulstone Esquire, for the raising his Sisters Portions, and Payment of Debts, and other Purposes therein mentioned."

Viccary's Bill.
