The other, intituled, "An Act to empower the Lord High Treasurer of England, or Commissioners of the Treasury, for the Time being, to compound with Thomas Tomkins and John Chaigneau, and their Securities, for the Debt owing by them respectively to Her Majesty."
To which said Two Bills they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to enable Sir John Humble Baronet, and his Trustees, to settle several Messuages, Lands, and Hereditaments, lying in the Counties of Lincoln, Surrey, and Kent, pursuant to the Articles and Agreement made upon his Marriage with Dame Sarah his now Wife."
The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"
It was Resolved in the Affirmative.
Ordered, That the Commons have Notice, that the Lords have agreed to the said Bill, without any Amendment.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for Sale of Lands, in the Counties of Southampton and Dorsett, late the Estate of Thomas Deane Esquire, deceased, for the Payment of the Debts and Legacies charged thereupon; and for other Purposes therein mentioned."
Ordered, That the Consideration of the said Bill be committed to the same Committee to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act to make the Ship L'Amazone, taken and condemned as Prize, and sold in the Island of Barbadoes, free," is referred.

Litchfield Canons and Deanry, Bill:
The Earl of Rochester reported from the Lords Committees, the Bill, intituled, "An Act for augmenting the Number of Canons Residentiary in the Cathedral Church of Litchfield, and for improving the Deanry and Prebends of the said Cathedral," as fit to pass, with some Amendments.
His Lordship also informed the House, "That the Queen had this Day sent Her Consent to the said Bill, by the Lord President, to the Committee."
Then the Amendments were read Twice, and agreed to.
Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for augmenting the Number of Canons Residentiary in the Cathedral Church of Litchfield, and for improving the Deanry and Prebends of the said Cathedral."

Upon reading the Petition of Thomas Hilyard, John Clarke, Abraham Carter, Stephen Rogers, Thomas Cotterell, Thomas Wheeler, and Richard Higgs, Watermen and Lightermen, on Behalf of themselves and their whole Company; praying to be heard, by their Counsel, before the passing of the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the better ordering and governing the Watermen and Lightermen upon the River of Thames:"
It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioners shall be heard, by their Counsel, as desired, at the Committee of the whole House, on Monday next, at Eleven a Clock, to whom the said Bill stands committed.

And the Duke of Richmond reported, "That the Commons do not agree to the Clause (A.) added to the Bill, intituled, "An Act to empower Thomas Cary and George Hatley, of London, Merchants, to import the Remainder of a Quantity of French Wine from Copenhagen, contracted for before the First Day of January One Thousand Seven Hundred and Four;" and gave their Reasons for their Disagreement."
Then, it was proposed, "Not to insist on the Amendments made to the said Bill."

After hearing Counsel, for and against the Bill, intituled, "An Act for enlarging the Pier and Harbour of Parton, in the County of Cumberland:"
It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Commissioners of Her Majesty's Customs shall have a Copy of the said Bill; and that some of the said Commissioners do attend this House on Monday next, at Eleven a Clock, to give their Opinion concerning this Bill, as it relates to the Public Good.
