Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of Timothy Luff, William Pescott, John Russell, James Russell, and John Caryll, from a Decree and subsequent Orders and Proceedings in the Court of Exchequer, in Hillary Term last, on the Behalf of Thomas Tench Clerk; and praying the Reversal of the said Decree, and subsequent Orders and Proceedings:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Thomas Tench may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and shall and he is hereby required to put in his Answer thereunto, in Writing, on or before Friday the Two and Twentieth Day of this Instant February, at Eleven a Clock.

Annuities, &c. Bill.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for continuing an additional Subsidy of Tonnage and Poundage, and certain Duties upon Coals, Culm, and Cinders, and additional Duties of Excise; and for settling and establishing a Fund thereby, and by other Ways and Means, for Payment of Annuities, to be sold, for raising a further Supply to Her Majesty, for the Service of the Year One Thousand Seven Hundred and Six; and other Uses therein mentioned."

Ordered, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, presently.

Then the House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the said Bill.

After some Time, the House was resumed.

And the Earl of Stamford reported, "That the Committee had gone through the said Bill; and think it fit to pass, without any Amendment."

River Stower Bill.

The Earl of Stamford also reported from the Lords Committees, the Bill, intituled, "An Act for making the River Stour navigable, from the Town of Maningtree, in the County of Essex, to the Town of Sudbury, in the County of Suffolke," as fit to pass, with One Amendment.

Which was read Twice.

Then it was proposed, "To disagree with the Committee in this Amendment, (videlicet,) Press 11. Line 19. after ["Vessels"], add Clause (A.)"

After Debate;

The Question was put, "Whether to agree with the Committee in this Amendment, by adding the Clause (A.)?"

It was Resolved in the Negative.

Then it was proposed, "To hear Mr. Boreman, by his Counsel."

Sir Edwin Sadleir's Bill.

The Earl of Rochester reported from the Lords Committees, the Bill, intituled, An Act for Sale of the Manor of Temple Dionisley, alias Dinsley, and other Lands in the County of Hertford, for the Payment of the Debts of Sir Edwin Sadleir Baronet, and other Purposes," as fit to pass, with some Amendments.

Which were read Twice, and agreed to; and the Bill ordered to be engrossed, with the said Amendments.

Stydolph versus Langhorne.

Upon reading the Petition of Susannah Langhorne, Respondent to the Appeal of Sigismond Stydolph; shewing, "That the Cause stands to be heard on Monday next; and that they were not served with the Order for Hearing until Yesterday; and that there are several Deeds and Writings in the Hands of Mr. John Garrett, who is One of the Respondents to the said Appeal, which relate to the Matters in Question, and have been produced by the said Garrett before the Master, and whereupon his Report was grounded;" and praying, "That the said (fn. 1) Writing may be produced at the Hearing in this House; and a further Day appointed for that Purpose:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said John Garrett shall produce the said Writings, at the Hearing of the said Cause, at the Bar of this House, on Saturday the Three and Twentieth Day of this Instant February, at Eleven a Clock.
