Their Lordships, or any Five of them; to meet on Tuesday the Eighth Day of January next, at Ten a Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers; and to adjourn as they please.
Smalman's Bill.
Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for supplying a Defect (by the Death of a Trustee) in the Appointment of Provisions for the Younger Children of Henry Smalman Esquire, deceased; and for making the said Provision more effectual for such Younger Children."

Tooke versus Dolben et al.
Whereas Friday next was appointed for hearing of the Cause wherein Katherine Tooke is Appellant, and the Lord Bishop of Ely and Sir Gilbert Dolben Respondents: The House being moved, by the Consent of all Parties, "That another Day may be appointed for hearing thereof:"
It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on the Second Day of the Sitting of this House after the Recess now at Hand.
Elliot versus Davenport.
Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of William Elliot, Son and Heir and Administrator of Sir William Elliot Knight, deceased, from a Decree made in the Court of Chancery, the Fifth Day of December Instant, on the Behalf of George Davenport, Executor of Anne Davenport; and praying, "That the said Decree may be reversed:"
It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said George Davenport may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and shall and he is hereby required to put in his Answer thereunto, in Writing, on Wednesday the Sixteenth Day of January next, at Eleven a Clock in the Forenoon.
Sir Thomas Cave's Bill.
Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to enable Sir Thomas Cave Baronet to sell certain Lands, in the County of Northampton, to raise Money, to pay his Brothers and Sisters Portions; and settle other Lands, in the said County of Northampton and County of Leicester, of better Value, to the same Uses."

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Rich'd Holford and Mr. Rogers:
To carry down the said Bill, and desire their Concurrence thereunto.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Topham and others:
To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act to repeal several Clauses in the Statute made in the Third and Fourth Years of Her present Majesty's Reign, for securing the Kingdom of England from several Acts lately passed in the Parliament of Scotland;" and to acquaint this House, that they have agreed to the same, with some Amendments; whereunto they desire their Lordships Concurrence.
Which Amendments were read Thrice, and agreed to; and Ordered, That the Commons have Notice, that the Lords have agreed to the said Amendments.
Queen's Answer to Address about the Church:
The Lord Keeper reported Her Majesty's Answer to the Address of both Houses, presented to Her Majesty Yesterday, as follows; (videlicet),
"My Lords and Gentlemen,
"I shall readily comply with your Address; and are very well pleased to find both Houses of Parliament so forward to join with Me in putting a Stop to these malicious Reports."
