PRAYERS.

Hammond, Leave for a Bill.

Upon reading the Petition of Anthony Hammond Esquire, as Guardian to Valentine Browne, and other Children of Nicholas Browne, called Lord Viscount Kenmare in the Kingdom of Ireland, by Hellen his late Wife; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, for enabling the granting of Leases upon Fines upon several Estates in that Kingdom, for raising Money, to be applied for and towards discharging several Incumbrances upon the said Estates:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioner hath hereby Leave to bring in a Bill, as desired.

Tooke versas Dolbin & al.

The House being this Day moved, on the Behalf of Simon Lord Bishop of Ely, and Sir Gilbert Dolbin, Executor of Sir William Dolbin deceased, Respondents to the Appeal of Katherine Tooke and others; "That they may have further Time for answering to the said Appeal, they having been but lately served with the former Order of this House for that Purpose:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Lord Bishop of Ely and Sir Gilbert Dolbin have hereby Time allowed them for answering to the said Appeal, until Thursday the Thirteenth Day of December next, at Eleven a Clock.

State of the Nation.

The Order of the Day being read, for taking into Consideration the State of the Nation;

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee thereupon.

After some Time, the House was resumed.

Address for a good Correspondence to be maintained with the Allies, &c.

And the Lord Herbert reported, "That it was the Opinion of the Committee, That an humble Address be presented to Her Majesty, That She would be pleased to use Her utmost Endeavours, to preserve and maintain a good Correspondence with Her Allies, particularly with The States of the United Provinces; and to excite them, and all Her Allies, as much as possible, to a vigorous Prosecution of the War."

To which the House agreed; and named the Lords following to be a Committee, to draw the said Address; (videlicet,)
