Savery's Name.

MR. Baile, according to Order, presented to the House a Bill to enable Isaac Savery to take upon him the Surname of Searle. And the same was received.

Molineux's Estate.

Mr. Greenfeild reported from the Committee to whom the ingrossed Bill from the Lords, intituled, An Act for rectifying a Mistake in a certain Act of this present Parliament, passed in the Year 1691, intituled, An Act to vest certain Lands of William Molyneux, Gentleman, in Trustees for raising the Sum of Two thousand Pounds, for paying the Portions to his younger Brother and Sisters, pursuant to a Decree in the Court of Chancery, was committed, That they had made several Amendments to the Bill; which they had directed him to report to the House: And which he read in his Place, with the Coherence; and afterwards delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table: Where the same were once read throughout; and then a Second time, one by one; and upon the Question severally put thereupon, agreed unto by the House.

Barker's Estate.

Mr. Campion reported from the Committee to whom the ingrossed Bill from the Lords, intituled, An Act to enable Sir George Barker, of Ratton in the County of Sussex, Baronet, to make a Settlement upon his Marriage, notwithstanding his Minority, was committed, That they had examined the Matter thereof; and had directed him to report the same to the House, without any Amendments: And he delivered the same in at the Table.

Bayntun's Will.

Mr. Bockland reported from the Committee to whom the Bill for the more speedy and effectual Execution of the Trust of the Will of Henry Bayntun, Esquire, deceased, was committed, That they had considered the Petition of Lady Ann Bayntun, and her Son; and hath made several Amendments to the Bill; which they had directed him to report to the House: And which he read in his Place, with the Coherence; and afterwards delivered in at the Clerk's Table: Where the same were once read throughout; and then, a Second time, one by one; and upon the Question severally put thereupon, agreed unto by the House.

Ordered, That the Bill, with the Amendments, be ingrossed.

Popham's Estate.

Then the House took into Consideration the Amendments made by the Lords to the Bill, intituled, An Act to enable Alexander Popham, Esquire, to settle a Jointure upon his Wife; and to make a Provision for younger Children, upon Receipt of Twelve thousand Pounds Portion, to be applied for Payment of his Debts.

And the same were once read throughout; and are as followeth; viz.

21 Skin, 22, L. after "behalf," add "to be deposited in the Hands of the said Francis Gwynn, upon a Receipt to be by him given for the same."

25 L. after "Pawlet," insert "upon Payment of which said several Sums, the several Securities for the same shall be and are hereby discharged."

And the same being severally read a Second time, were, upon the Question severally put thereupon, agreed unto by the House.

Ordered, That Mr. Gwynn do carry the Bill to the Lords; and acquaint them, that this House hath agreed to the said Amendments.

Petworth, &c. Rectories.

A Bill for settling the Advowsons and Rights of Patronage of the Rectories of Petworth, North Chappell, Dungton, Clewer, Farnham Royal, Worplesdon, Kirkby Overblowes, and Catton, and the Vicarage of Long Horsly, was read the Second time.

Resolved, That the Bill be committed to Mr. Boyle, Mr. Hutchinson, Sir Edward Seymour, Colonel Perry, Sir Orlando Gee, Mr. Freeman, Mr. Gwyn, Sir Chr. Musgrave, Mr. Price, Sir Tho. Dyke, Colonel Titus, Mr. Osborne, Mr. Dyot, Sir Cha. Boyle, Mr. Cook, Sir John Guise, Mr. Bromley, Mr. Shackerley, Mr. Pelham, Sir Wilf. Lawson, Mr. Bockland, Mr. Fenwick, Mr. How, Mr. Musgrave, Mr. Mordant, Sir John Ernle, Mr. Harley, Sir Cha. Gerrard, Mr. Christy: And they are to meet at Four a Clock this Afternoon in the Speaker's Chamber.

A Message from the Lords, by Sir Miles Cook, and Sir John Franklyn;

Wollaston's Estate.

Mr. Speaker, The Lords have passed a Bill, intituled, An Act for confirming the Sale of certain Woodlands in the County of Southampton; and certain Articles of Agreement made between Isaac Wollaston and Richard Wollaston, Esquires: To which they desire the Concurrence of this House. Also,

Wentworth's Estate.

The Lords have agreed to the Amendments made by this House to the Bill intituled, An Act to enable Sir John Wentworth, Baronet, an Infant, under the Age of Twenty-one Years, to make a Jointure out and Settlement of his Manors and Lands in the Counties of York and Westmorland.

Browne's Will.

Also, That the Lords have agreed to the Bill, intituled, An Act for the more speedy and effectual Execution of the Trust created by the Will of Sir Anthony Browne, Baronet, deceased; and of a Decree in Chancery thereupon; without any Amendments.

And then the Messengers withdrew.

Supply Bill; Land Tax.

An ingrossed Bill for granting an Aid to their Majesties, of Four Shillings in the Pound, for One Year, was read the Third time.

An ingrossed Clause was offered, as a Rider, That no Commissioner shall have any Voice concerning any Assessment to be made within the Parish where such Commissioner shall inhabit, but shall withdraw during all Controversies concerning the same.

And the said Clause was read the First time.

And the Question being put, That the Clause be read a Second time.

It passed in the Negative.

Another ingrossed Clause was offered, as a Rider, That Tenants of Papists, or others liable to be doubly charged, shall be discharged from paying the said double Rates, and the Owners only shall pay the same.

And the same was Thrice read; and, upon the Question put thereupon, agreed by the House to be made Part of the Bill.

Resolved, Nemine contradicente, That the Bill do pass: And that the Title be, An Act for granting an Aid to their Majesties, of Four Shillings in the Pound, for One Year, for the carrying on a vigorous War against France.

Ordered, That Mr. Attorney General, do carry the Bill to the Lords; and desire their Concurrence thereunto.

Committees.

Ordered, That all Committees be adjourned.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Eight a Clock.
