Worthenbury Chapel.

AN ingrossed Bill from the Lords, intituled, An Act for separating and making the Chapel of Worthenbury a distinct Church from the Parish Church of Bangor, was read the Second time.

Resolved, That the Bill be committed unto Mr. Dalben, Sir Rob. Owen, Sir Orlando Gee, Sir Gervas Elwes, Sir Rob. Davers, Mr. Blowfeild, Mr. Fenwick, Sir Rob. Nappier, Mr. Gray, Mr. Morland, Mr. Bromley, Mr. Brewer, Mr. Waller, Mr. Godolphin, Mr. Hawtry, Mr. Harcourt, Mr. Bickerstaffe, Mr. Colt, Sir Wm. Cooke, Mr. Arnold, Sir Tho. Hussey, Mr. Wilmot, Sir Jos. Williamson, Mr. Burdet, Mr. Ryder, Sir John Cary, Sir Wm. Wynne's Estate.

A Bill to vest the Estate of Cadwallader Wynne, Esquire, in Trustees, to be sold for Payment of Debts, was read the Second time.

Resolved, That the Bill be committed to Mr. Bulkly, Sir Tho. Haslerigg, Mr. Gwyn, Sir Tho. Hussey, Lord Falkland, Mr. Gray, Sir Tho. Darcy, Mr. Hawtry, Mr. Newport, Sir Wm. Cooper, Sir Rob. Nappier, Sir Orl. Gee, Sir Rob. Davers, Sir Hen. Capell, Mr. Campion, Mr. Burdet, Mr. Thornhaugh, Sir Robert Cotton, Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer, Mr. Fuller, Mr. Fenwick, Mr. England, Sir Sam. Bernadiston, Sir Rob. Nappier, Mr. Ryder, Mr. Freke, Mr. Glemham, Sir Wilfred Lawson, Major Vincent, Mr. Blowfeild, and all the Members that serve for North Wales: And they are to meet this Afternoon, at Three of the Clock, in the Speaker's Chamber.

Bedford Election.

Ordered, That the Report relating to the Return and Election for the Borough of Bedford, be made To-morrow Morning at Ten of the Clock.

Supply Bill; Poll Tax.

Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer reports from the Committee of the whole House, to whom the Poll Bill was referred, That they had agreed to the Bill, with several Amendments; which they had directed him to report to the House: And be read the same in his Place, with the Coherence; and afterwards, delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table: Where the same were once read throughout; and afterwards a Second time, one by one; And, after some Amendments proposed to be made to some of them, and agreed unto by the House; the same were, upon the Question severally put thereupon, agreed unto by the House.

But, as to the Amendment, Folio *, Line *, touching filling up the Blanks for Commissioners to execute the said Act, viz. Those in a former Act of Two Shillings in the Pound; an Amendment was proposed to be made of the said Amendment, by adding these Words, "and the other Persons hereafter named."

And the Question being put, That those Words be added;

The House divided.

The Yeas go forth.

So it passed in the Negative.

A Clause was offered to be made Part of the Bill for Baronets to keep their Seniority and Place, according to the Dates of their Patents: Which was read the First time.

And the Question being put, That it be read a Second time;

It passed in the Negative.

Another Clause was offered to be made Part of the Bill for the Double-taxing of Papists that will not take the Oaths to the Government: Which was twice read, and agreed unto by the House.

Another Clause was offered to be made Part of the Bill, to exempt Quakers from paying Double, upon their subscribing a Declaration of Fidelity to the Government: Which was twice read, and agreed unto by the House.

Ordered, That the Bill, with the Amendments, be ingrossed.

A Message from the Lords, by Sir Miles Cooke and Mr. Meredeth;

Middleton's Wife's Maintenance.

Mr. Speaker, The Lords have passed a Bill, intituled, An Act for confirming a Settlement made by Sir Hugh Middleton, Baronet, for a separate Maintenance for Dame Dorothea his Wife, and for other Trusts; and for the better enabling Trustees to sell Part of his Estate for Payment of his Debts: To which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Berenger's Estate.

And also another Bill, intituled, An Act to enable Tho. Berenger, Esquire, to sell Lands to pay his Debts: To which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

And then the Messengers withdrew.

Dr. Tillotson to preach on 16th April.

Ordered, That Doctor Tillotson, Dean of Saint Paul's, be desired to preach before this House upon Wednesday Morning next, at St. Margaret's Westminster; and that Mr. John Gray do acquaint him therewith.

Bishop's Castle Writ.

Ordered, That Mr. Speaker do issue his Warrant to the Clerk of the Crown, to make out a new Writ for electing a Burgess to serve in this present Parliament for the Borough of Bishops Castle in the County of Salop, in the room of Richard Mason, Esquire, deceased.

Supply Bills; Tonage and Excise.

Ordered, That the several Bills for settling the Tonage and Poundage, and the Excise, upon their Majesties, be read To-morrow Morning at Ten of the Clock.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Eight of the Clock.
