Southampton Writ.
ORDERED; That Mr. Speaker do grant his Warrant to the Clerk of the Crown, to issue out a new Writ for the Electing of a Burgess to serve in this present Parliament for the Town and County of Southampton, in the room of Rich. Brett, Esquire, deceased.
Recovery of Tythes.
A Bill for the more easy Recovery of small Tythes, and Repair of Churches, was read the Second time.
Resolved, That the Bill be committed to Mr. Christy, Sir Fra. Russell, Sir Rob. Rich, Sir Wm. Yorke, Mr. Coningsby, Major Manley, Sir Gilbert Clarke, Sir Ralph Dutton, Mr. Helyer, Sir Phil. Gell, Sir John Barker, Mr. Smith, Mr. Gwyn, Sir Jos. Tredenham, Colonel Birch, Sir Cha. Bloys, Sir Fra. Guibon, Mr. Norreis, Colonel Whitley, Sir Wm. Poultny, Mr. Parker, Mr. Thornehaugh, Sir Wm. Cocke, Sir Rob. Cotton, Mr. Trenchard, Sir Thom. Barnadiston, Sir Rob. Nappier, Sir Edw. Aischough, Mr. Papillion, Lord Castleton, Sir Thom. Littleton, Sir Rob. Sawyer, Mr. Fenwick, Mr. Stevens, Sir Edward Hussey, Sir Wm. Ellis: And all that come are to have Voices: And they are to meet on Monday next, at Four of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Speaker's Chamber.
State of the Nation.
Resolved, That the House do, on Wednesday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider the State of the Nation.
Supply.
Then the House, according to the Order of the Twenty-fourth Day of October last, resolved into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of a Motion made for a Supply to be given to his Majesty.
Mr. Speaker left the Chair.
Mr. Hamden took the Chair of the Committee.
Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.
Mr. Hamden reports from the Committee of the whole House, That the Committee having taken into Consideration the Motion for a Supply to be given to their Majesties for the Reducing of Ireland, and joining, this ensuing Year with their Majesties Allies abroad, in a vigorous Prosecution of the War against France both by Sea and Land, is of Opinion, That for those Purposes, a Supply be given to their Majesties, not exceeding the Sum of Two Millions to be added to the public Revenue.
The which Resolution being delivered in at the Clerk's Table, was read a Second time.
Resolved, Nemine contradicente, That the House doth agree with the Committee, That for the Reducing of Ireland, and joining, this ensuing Year, with their Allies abroad, in a vigorous prosecution of the War against France, both by Sea and Land, a Supply be given to their Majesties, not exceeding the Sum of Two Millions to be added to the publick Revenue.
Ways and Means.
Resolved, That the House do, on Monday Morning next, at Ten of the Clock, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to take into Consideration the Way to raise the said Supply.
