Prayers.

Aulnage Duty.

SIR John Guise reports from the Committee to whom the Petition of the Clothiers in Gloucestershire was referred; and also, to consider of the Abuses of the Aulnagers; and also to whom several other Petitions against the Aulnagers were referred in general, That the Committee had often met, and considered the Matters aforesaid; and had agreed upon several Reports: Which they had directed him to make to the House; viz.

As to the Clothiers in the County of Gloucester;
As to the Norwich Weavers.
As to the Stocking-makers of Somersett and Dorsett;
As to the Yorkshire Clothiers;
As to the Bay and Saymakers of Essex and Suffolke;
As to the Drapers in London:

The which he read in his Place; and afterwards delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table.

Resolved, That the Reading the said Reports at the Table, be adjourned until Tuesday Morning next, the first Business.

Leave of Absence.

Ordered, That Sir Wm. Whitmore have Leave to go into the Country for a Month.

Dr. Tennison thanked.

Resolved, That the Thanks of this House be given to Dr. Tennison, for the Sermon he preached before them Yesterday; and that he be desired to print the same.

Ordered, That Mr. Hamden do give him the Thanks, and acquaint him with the Desires of this House, accordingly.

Titus Oates.

Resolved, That Sir Richard Temple be added to the Committee appointed to inspect the Journals of the House of Lords, in relation to the Proceedings upon the Judgments against Mr. Oates.

Leave of Absence.

Ordered, That Sir Hugh Owen have Leave to go into the Country for a Month.

Titus Oates, &c.

The House being informed, that the Clerk of the Crown attended, according to their Order on Tuesday last, he was called in; and the Clerk of the Treasury of the King's Bench, with the Record, touching Mr. Oates and Mr. Johnson.

Ordered, That the Custos Brevium of the King's Bench do attend this House, with the Record between Goodwyn and Hales.

Supply Bill.

The House then, according to the Order of Monday last, resolved itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider further of the Bill for granting a Subsidy to their Majesties.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.
Mr. Hamden took the Chair of the Committee.
Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Mr.Hamden reports from the Committee of the whole House, That Mr. Solicitor General had delivered in the Clause of Credit, directed by the House; and that the Committee had gone through the Bill, and made several Amendments, and added several Clauses to the Bill; and directed him to move the House, That he might make Report concerning the same on Saturday Morning next.

Resolved, That the House will receive the said Report on Monday Morning next.

Papists Benefices.

A Message from the Lords, by Sir Miles Cooke and Dr. Edisbury;

Mr. Speaker, The Lords have passed a Bill, intituled, An Act to vest in the Two Universities the Presentations of Benefices belonging to Papists; to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

And then the Messengers withdrew.

Leave for a Member to attend Lords.

Ordered, That Mr. Finch have Leave to attend the Bar of the House of Lords, as Counsel in a Cause between Phillips and Croply.

Rights of the Subject, and Succession of the Crown.

Resolved, That the Amendments proposed by the Lords to be made to the Bill for declaring the Rights of the Subject, and settling the Succession of the Crown, be read To-morrow Morning, after the Cause concerning the East India Company is heard.

Supply Bill; Excise.

A Bill for an additional Duty of Excise upon Beer and Ale, was read the Second Time.

Resolved, That the Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House.

Resolved, That the House do, upon Wednesday next, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of the Bill.

Ordered, That Leave be given to bring in a Clause to be added to that Bill, for the Exportation of Corn and Grain from the Town of Berwick upon Tweed.

Privilege.

Ordered, That the Report from the Committee of Privileges between Sir Rich. Temple and Mr. Palmes be made this Day Sevennight.

Mr. Wake thanked.

Resolved, That the Thanks of this House be given to Mr. Wake, for the Sermon he preached before them Yesterday, and that he be desired to print the same.

Ordered, That Mr. Grey do give him the Thanks, and acquaint him with the Desires of this House accordingly.

Committees.
