A Bill for Naturalizing of Ann Astley, and others, was read a Second time.

Prideaux's Claim on Lord Jeffreys.

A Bill for charging the Manor of Dolby and Broughton with the Payment of Fourteen thousand Seven hundred and Sixty Pounds, and Interest to Edmund Prideaux, Esquire, was brought in; and laid upon the Table.

Exporting Leather.

Mr. Christy reports from the Committee to whom the Bill for Exportation of Leather was committed, That they had thought fit to make several Amendments therein: Which he read in his Place; and afterwards delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table: Where the same were Once read throughout; and afterwards, a Second time, one by one; and agreed unto by the House.

The Petition of the Company of Cordwainers was read.

The Petition of the Shoemakers of Northampton was read.

The Petition of the Shoemakers of Southwarke was read.

Resolved, That the Bill, with the Amendments, be ingrossed.

Supply.

Resolved, That the House do immediately resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of a further Supply for the Navy.

Supply Bill; Poll Tax.

A Message from the Lords, by Sir Miles Cooke and Sir Lacon Wm. Child;

Mr. Speaker, The Lords have passed the Bill, intituled, An additional Act to an Act, intituled, An Act for the raising Money by a Poll, and otherwise, towards the Reducing of Ireland, with Amendments; to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

And then the Messengers withdrew.

The Amendments were read; and are as followeth; viz.

P. 1. 1. 3, after "towards," add "the."

P. * 1. 17, after the Word "Act," insert the Clause [A]; for the Lords appointing Commissioners to rate themselves in respect of their Offices and personal Estates, and freeing their Persons from Imprisonments; and for appointing a Collector to receive their Assessments.

The First of the said Amendments were read a Second time.

Resolved, That this House doth agree with the Lords in the said Amendment.

The Second Amendment was read the Second time.

The Question being put, That the House do agree with the Lords in the said Amendment;

It passed in the Negative.

Resolved, That a Committee be appointed to prepare Reasons, why this House doth not agree with the Lords in the said Amendment.

Supply Bill; Ground Rents.

Ordered, That the Bill for laying a Tax upon Ground Rents, upon new Foundations, be presented to the House, To-morrow Morning, by Mr. Serjeant Wogan.
