Leave of Absence.

ORDERED, That Mr. Hening have Leave to go into the Country, for a Month.

Supply Bill; granting a present Aid.

An ingrossed Bill for granting a present Aid to his Majesty, was read the Third time.

Resolved, That the Bill do pass: And that the Title thereof be, An Act for the Granting a present Aid to their Majesties.

Ordered, That Mr. Hamden do carry up the Bill to the Lords, for their Concurrence.

Oaths of Allegiance and Supremacy.

An ingrossed Bill for altering the Oaths of Allegiance and Supremacy, was read the Third time.

A Clause, ingrossed, was offered, as a Rider, to be made Part of the Bill, for such Persons who have been admitted into several Offices of Trust, since the Day of last; and who, by reason of the Disorders of Affairs, did not receive the Sacrament, take the Oaths, and subscribe the Declaration, appointed by an Act made 25° Car. II; That if such Persons shall, before the Day of next, take the Oaths, and subscribe the said Declaration, as by the said Act is required, they shall hold and enjoy their said Offices, indemnified from all Penalties or Disabilities whatsoever.

And the same was read.

Resolved, That the same be read a Second time.

The Clause was read a Second time.

Resolved, That the Clause be rejected.

Resolved, That the Bill do pass: And that the Title thereof be, An Act for abrogating the Oaths of Allegiance and Supremacy, and establishing others in their Place.

Ordered, That Mr. Hamden do carry up the Bill to the Lords, for their Concurrence.

Punishing Mutiny and Desertion.

A Bill for punishing Soldiers, who shall mutiny, or desert their Majesties Service, was read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time.

Information of raising Forces in the North.

The House being informed, that one Comyns had a Letter, giving an Account, that several Persons were raising Forces in the North;

Ordered, That the said Comyns do attend the House To-morrow Morning, touching the Matter of the said Information.

Abolishing Hearth-money.

A Bill for taking away the Revenue arising by Hearthmoney, was read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time.

Reviving Proceedings at Law.

An ingrossed Bill for Re-continuing of Actions and Process, lately depending in the Courts of Westminster, and curing other Defects, was read the Third time.

Resolved, That the Bill do pass: And that the Title thereof be, An Act for Reviving of Actions and Process, lately depending in the Courts at Westminster, and discontinued by not Holding of Hillary Term; and for supplying other Defects relating to Proceedings at Law.

Ordered, That Sir John Holt do carry up the Bill to the Lords, for their Concurrence.

Preventing export of Wool.

A Bill for the better Prevention of Exportation of Wool, was read the Second time.

Information of raising Forces in the North.

The House being informed, that one Maddins, and the Marquis of Winchester's Steward, who gave the Information, touching Comins having a Letter, giving an Account that several Persons were raising Forces in the North, were at the Door;

Resolved, That they be called in.

And they being come in to the Bar; they gave the House what Information they had from the said Comins; and that he was Clerk to Mr. Bellwood of the Temple.

And then they withdrew.

King's Speech to be considered.

Resolved, That this House will, To-morrow Morning, at Ten a Clock, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to take further Consideration of his Majesty's Speech.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, at Eight a Clock.
