ORDERED, That Sir John Duke have Leave to go into the Country.

Payment of the Revenue.

Resolved, That a Committee be appointed to prepare and bring in a Bill for the better Regulating the Payment of the Revenue into the Exchequer, and issuing it out; and for Regulating of the Fees of the Exchequer; upon the Debate of the House.

And it is referred to Sir Robert Howard, Mr. Papilion, Sir Rich. Temple, Sir H. Capell, Mr. Bertye, Sir Wm. Gregorye, Sir Tho. Clarges, Sir John Holt, Mr. Sacheverell, Sir John Cotton, Mr. Eyres, Sir Rob. Sawyer, Sir Wm. Williams, Major Wildman, Mr. Hamden, Lord Falkland, Mr. Weld, Sir Hen. Goodrick, Sir Tho. Lee, Mr. Buscowen, Mr. Palmes, Mr. Cristy, Mr. Windham, Sir Math. Andrews: And they are to meet this Afternoon, at Four of the Clock, in the Speaker's Chamber.

Thetford Election.

A Petition of Abraham Felton, Esquire, complaining of an undue Election and Return of a Burgess to serve in this present Parliament for the Borough of Thetford in the County of Norfolke, was read.

Ordered, That the said Petition be referred to the Consideration of the Committee of Elections and Privileges, to examine the Matter thereof, and report the same, with their Opinions therein, to the House: And the same is to be heard by the Committee, at the same time with another Petition of divers of the Inhabitants of the said Borough, relating to Sir Jos. Williamson.

American Plantations.

A Petition of the Planters, and others, concerned in their Majesties Sugar Plantations in America, was read.

Ordered, That the said Petition do lie on the Table.

Supply.

The Order of Yesterday, for this House to resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of a Motion then made for an Aid to be granted to his Majesty, was read.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

Mr. Hamden took the Chair of the Committee.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Mr. Hamden reports from the Committee of the whole House, to whom it was referred to consider of a Motion made for an Aid to be granted to his Majesty, That the Committee having taken the same into Consideration accordingly, they had agreed upon Three Resolves to be reported to the House: Which he read in his Place, and afterwards delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table: Where the same being read, are as followeth:

Resolved, That it is the Opinion of this Committee, that a present Aid be given to his Majesty, not exceeding the Sum of 420,000£.

Resolved, That it is the Opinion of this Committee, that the said Aid be, by a monthly Assessment, for Six Months, at the Rate of 68,820£. 19s. 1d. per Mensem, according to the Proportions in the Act made in the One-and-thirtieth Year of King Charles the Second, for paying off and disbanding the Forces raised after the Twenty-ninth of September 1677.

Resolved, That it is the Opinion of this Committee, that the House be moved to resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House To-morrow Morning, at Ten of the Clock, to take further Consideration of his Majesty's Speech.

The First of the said Resolves being read a Second time;

Resolved, That this House doth agree with the Committee, that a present Aid be given to his Majesty, not exceeding the Sum of 420,000£.

The Second of the said Resolves being read a Second time;

Lords Concurrence desired to Vote for supporting the King.

Resolved, That the Lords Concurrence be desired to the Vote of Yesterday, That this House will stand by and assist the King with their Lives and Fortunes, in supporting his Alliances abroad, in Reducing of Ireland, and in Defence of the Protestant Religion, and Laws of the Kingdom.

Ordered, That Mr. Leveson Gower do carry up the said Vote to the Lords for their Concurrence.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Nine a Clock.
