HODIE 1a vice lecta est Billa, An Act for the Naturalizing of Johannekin, alias Joane, Greensmith, Daughter of Mathew Greensmith, Citizen and Grocer of London.

Hodie allatæ sunt 4 Billæ a Domo Communi, presented by Sir Thomas Parry, Chancellor of the Dutchy, and others:

1. An Act against Non-residence and Pluralities of Benefices; delivered with a special Recommendation from the Lower House.

2. An Act for the better transferring and assuring of the Rectory and Parsonage of the decayed Parish of Frome Whitefeild, adjoining unto the Borough of Dorchester, in the County of Dorsett, towards the Maintenance of a Preacher, a Free School, and Nine Poor People of the Alms-house, in the said Town of Dorchester.

3. An Act for the Naturalizing of Sir Robert Karr, Knight.

4. An Act for the Naturalizing of Margarett Clark, Wife of Robert Clark, Gentleman.

Tenures and Wardships.

That where the House of the Commons (by a Message of late sent from them) moved their Lordships, That His Majesty might be made acquainted, by such of this House as their Lordships should think fit to appoint, of the Desire of the said House of the Commons, touching the Matter of Tenures, and Dependency on Tenures; their Lordships having acquainted His Majesty therewith, and received His Answer, and conceiving that the Time appointed this Afternoon, concerning Dr. Cowell's Book, may serve fitly, both for that, and for delivering and imparting unto them His Highness's said Answer touching the Point of Tenures, do desire (if it may be convenient for them), that this Meeting may accordingly serve for both those Services.

That their Lordships Motion was respectively received; and that they would be ready to attend the Service, at the Time and Place appointed.

Agreed, That the Lord Treasurer should deliver His Majesty's Answer unto the Committees of the Lower House.

Lords appointed to report what the Committees shall observe offensive in Cowell's Book.

Agreed likewise, That the Lord Arehbishop of Yorke, the Lord Privy Seal, the Lord Bishop of London, and the Lord Zouch, should observe and report such Matters and Points of Dr. Cowell's Book as the Committees of the Lower House shall offer as offensive, or considerable.
