HODIE 2a vice lecta est Billa, An Act for the true making of Woollen Cloth.
And was referred to Committees: videlicet,
Appointed to meet at the Painted Chamber, upon Thursday next, the 4th of June, by Two in the Afternoon; and such of the Clothiers and others whom the Bill may concern to be warned then to attend the Committee. The Bill delivered to my Lord of Canterburie.
The Secondary of The Compter, and the Serjeant of London.
This Day, the Secondary of The Compter was brought into the House, and William Wood, the Serjeant of London (according to the Order of the Court), whereupon the said Secondary (clearing himself sufficiently in their Lordships Judgements, that he had not persuaded the Arrest of Foster, the Earl of Southampton's Servant, as he had been accused by the said Serjeant) was forthwith discharged of any further Attendance; and also the said Serjeant (upon his earnest Protestation, that he was sorry for his Offence, and at the Request of the Earl himself in his Behalf) was likewise dismissed and discharged.
