Instrument for the Union.

THIS Day, the Instrument for the Union was read in the House; and thereupon the Lord Chancellor moved, That the said Instrument might be sent down to the Lower House, there to be also read, that afterwards such further Consideration might be had of it as shall be thought meet. The Motion approved by the House; and the Instrument accordingly sent by Mr. Serjeant Crooke, Sir Edward Stanhope, Sir Richard Swale, and Dr. Hone, with this Message:

That the said Instrument hath been read in this House; and, because it concerneth both Houses, it is sent down to be read there, in like Manner, to the End they may be well informed of the Contents, before any further Proceeding.

The Instrument received in the Lower House; but no Answer returned.

Absent Lords excused.

Signified to the House by the Earl of Salisburie, That the Lord Sheffeild fell sick by the Way as he was coming up to the Parliament, and thereupon is returned back again, but intendeth to send his Proxy.

The like Excuse for the Lord Saie, being sick at his House.

Excuse also made for the Absence of the Lord Admiral, the Lord Wotton, and Lord Stanhope, for Want of Health.

Adjourn.

Dominus Cancellarius continuavit præsens Parliamentum usque in diem Saturni, videlicet, 22m Novembris, hora 9a.
